In my analysis, American actions in support of the Tibetan Resistance Movement failed because of the choice of covert operations to accomplish their mission. In my analysis, China must open her eyes to Doomsday Revelation shared by Doom Dooma Doomsayer. In my view, Beijing awaits catastrophe, disaster, calamity, cataclysm, apocalypse, or Doom as described in The Book of Revelation, Chapter 18.

China can be willing to pay the ransom but cannot ward off disaster which is just a stone’s throw away.

In his pursuit of the Chinese dream and the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, President Xi Jinping has relentlessly tightened Party discipline and its grip on society. He has launched the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), a project to vastly improve connectivity on land and at sea between Africa, the Middle East, and Europe through the construction of highways, airports, rail, and ports to facilitate trade and commerce between continents. It is hoped that Chinese investment in 64 countries would facilitate the flow of goods, minerals, gas, and foodstuff to China to keep its domestic economy humming and strengthen its outward power projection.

Under Xi, China has asserted its claims of sovereignty over the South China Sea not only through words but by concrete action. It is constructing artificial islands, which are being weaponized.

Xi’s China makes another claim of sovereignty over cyberspace. It is succeeding to a surprising degree. What information goes out of China and is allowed into the country is monitored and controlled by the Chinese Communist Party. Other authoritarian regimes are following suit.

China makes another claim of sovereignty. This time it is over Tibet’s spiritual space.  Whether the Party will succeed or not is another matter but its determination to do so is clear from a number of projects and policy directions.

In 2007, the Party issued a directive “the management measures for the reincarnation of living Buddhas in Tibetan Buddhism.” It is also known as order number five. Reincarnating Tibetan lamas must submit a “reincarnation application” to the Party for their reincarnation to be “approved.”

In 2016, China launched an online database of all reincarnating Tibetan lamas. Those not on the database are not “living Buddhas” in the Party’s eyes. And the Dalai Lama is not on the database.

Here the Party is confronted by the Dalai Lama dilemma. The Party wants the 15th Dalai Lama but not the 14th, who some senior cadres “ordered” him to reincarnate. In pursuit of this goal, the Party is moving aggressively in areas and countries that were not the fields of activities of the United Front, a Party organ considered its “magic weapon.”

Mongolia is the new field of activities of the United Front. These activities are made easier because Mongolia, a vast landlocked country with only two neighbors, China and Russia, is beholden to its powerful and dynamic southern neighbor for its economic wellbeing.  China is exploiting this Mongol vulnerability to “guide” Mongolia in its selection of Khalkha Jetsun Dampa, Mongolia’s highest reincarnate lama, whose previous reincarnation lived in Dharamsala for many years. China wants Mongolia to select the next reincarnation without any consultation with the Dalai Lama.

But the problem for China is that the Dalai Lama is enthroned at the very top of Tibet’s spiritual hierarchy. Reincarnating lamas’ spiritual legitimacy and acceptance by people, be they Tibetans, Mongolians or throughout the Buddhist Himalayan belt, derives from his recognition.

But China makes no pretense of its game plan in playing in Tibet’s spiritual realm. It is promoting the Beijing-appointed Panchen Lama, creating important platforms for him to gain wider acceptance. It is also promoting the late 10th Panchen Lama’s daughter in the hope she will throw her father’s spiritual weight to the Party’s choice of the next Dalai Lama. Beijing has lined up and is grooming young Tibetan lamas to help it choose the 15th Dalai Lama and to show to the world that there is Tibetan Buddhist church’s acceptance of its choice.

In making this plan’s the Party hopes that without a shot being fired it could appropriate the crown jewel of Tibet’s civilization and along with it the worldwide goodwill the present Dalai Lama has created for Tibet and its culture.

The problem for China is that the concept of reincarnation is a matter of faith and cannot be imposed through administrative diktat. That faith will be guided by the actions of the heads of all four schools of Tibetan Buddhism and that of Bon, Tibet’s homegrown religion, who fortunately are all in India. Above all, it will be determined by the decision of the 14th Dalai Lama.

In FBI Director Christopher Wray’s evaluation, China is ‘most significant’ threat to US. In my analysis, the threat posed by Communist China requires an immediate response. On behalf of Living Tibetan Spirits, I recommend US-Tibet Direct Dialogue to confront threats arising from spread of Communism to mainland China. It must be said, Tibetans understand China’s deception better than any other people in our world.

Amid rampant discussion about Russian election interference and espionage, FBI Director Christopher Wray has deemed China the largest, most concerning threat to the US.

Speaking at the Aspen Security Forum on Wednesday, Wray was asked whether he saw China as an adversary and, if so, to what level.

“I think China, from a counterintelligence perspective, in many ways represents the broadest, most challenging, most significant threat we face as a country,” Wray answered.

“And I say that because for them it is a whole of state effort. It is economic espionage as well as traditional espionage; it is nontraditional collectors as well as traditional intelligence operatives; it’s human sources as well as cyber means.

“We have economic-espionage investigations in every state, all 50 states, that trace back to China. It covers everything from corn seeds in Iowa to wind turbines in Massachusetts and everything in between. So the volume of it, the pervasiveness of it, the significance of it, is something I think this country cannot underestimate.”

The comments follow a 2017 report by the US trade representative that accused China of “trade secret theft, rampant online piracy and counterfeiting, and high levels of physical pirated and counterfeit exports.” The report found intellectual-property theft by China was costing the US up to $600 billion annually.

It seems a far more strategic and wide-ranging effort than Russia’s ongoing interference efforts, which dominated headlines in the US this week amid President Donald Trump’s widely panned summit with President Vladimir Putin.

Wray said Russia needed to be dealt with “aggressively,” but he seemed far more concerned with what he called China’s efforts to position itself as “the sole dominant superpower, the sole dominant economic power.”

“They’re trying to replace the US in that role, and so theirs is a long-term game that’s focused on just about every industry, every quarter of society in many ways,” Wray said. “It involves academia, it involves research and development, it involves everything from agriculture to high-tech. And so theirs is a more pervasive, broader approach but in many ways more of a long-term threat to the country.”

This isn’t the first time China’s patience and willingness to play the long game have been described as reasons its interference campaigns are more successful than those of Russia.

Earlier this year, John Garnaut, who led a secret government inquiry into China’s political influence in Australia, told the US House Armed Services Committee that Russia preferred “focused, sharp strikes,” while Beijing’s actions were more incremental.

“Unlike Russia, which seems to be as much for a good time rather than a long time, the Chinese are strategic, patient, and they set down foundations of organizations and very consistent narratives over a long period of time,” Garnaut told the committee.

Garnaut’s report found China had attempted to influence politics at all levels in Australia. The Australian government has since introduced new foreign-interference laws— much to Beijing’s ire — and the issue is frequently discussed and debated in the public sphere.

It’s this widespread shift toward a consensus on China’s influence and interference attempts that Wray described as “one of the bright spots” since he became FBI director just over 10 months ago.

“It’s one of the few things I’ve seen that, in a country where it feels like some people can’t even agree on what day of the week it is, on this I think people are starting to come together,” Wray said.

“I see it in the interagency, I see it up on the Hill when I’m talking to the intelligence committees across the spectrum. I think people are starting to wake up and rub the cobwebs, or sleep, out of their eyes. And my hope is we’re in a moment where we can pivot and start to take this much more seriously.”

Living Tibetan Spirits desire Supreme Ruler of Tibet to go home if the following two conditions are fully satisfied:

  • Restore identity of entire Tibetan territory by demarcating political boundaries of Tibet and
  • Supreme Ruler of Tibet be replaced by Head of State elected by Tibetan citizens. The political institution of Ganden Phodrang which governs lives of Tibetans must be replaced by elected Government of Tibet.

Tenzin Gyatso, the 14th Dalai Lama, celebrated his 83rd birthday last week. What a wonderful gift it would be if China would treat the Tibetan people with the dignity and respect they deserve, and let the Dalai Lama go home to Tibet, whether to visit or to stay.

The Dalai Lama was born and educated in Tibet. He was recognized as the reincarnation of the 13th Dalai Lama when he was only 2, and he was just 6 when he began his monastic studies. While the Dalai Lama is the spiritual leader of Tibet, he humbly describes himself as a simple Buddhist monk.

Before the Dalai Lama could finish his education, he was called to assume the leadership of his people, after China’s invasion of Tibet, in 1950. He worked to preserve Tibetan autonomy and culture, until years of growing resentment against restrictions imposed by the Chinese Communists led to a full-scale revolt in March 1959. As the uprising was crushed by Chinese troops, the Dalai Lama was forced to flee, and he eventually settled in Dharamsala, in northern India.

Since then, the Dalai Lama has been forced by China to remain in exile. For nearly 60 years, he has not been able to return to his homeland and the people he leads. This is wrong.

Article 13 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights affirms, “Everyone has the right to leave any country, including his own, and to return to his country.” As American citizens, we have that right and exercise it.

The Dalai Lama is renowned the world over for his commitment to peace. He has consistently advocated for nonviolence, even in the face of extreme aggression. In 1989, he won the Nobel Peace Prize in recognition of his decades-long nonviolent campaign to end China’s domination of his homeland. In 2007, when Congress awarded the Dalai Lama the Congressional Gold Medal, then-president George W. Bush called him “a man of faith and sincerity and peace.”

Living within China, the Tibetan people have many grievances. Although Chinese authorities see the Dalai Lama as part of the problem, we have long believed that he is part of the solution.

There was a time when the Tibetan goal was independence. But since the 1970s, the Dalai Lama has sought redress through negotiations. In the late 1980s, he proposed the Middle Way Approach as a path toward Tibetan autonomy within China.

Today, his commitment to nonviolence and his recognition as the spiritual leader of Tibetans worldwide confer on him an undeniable legitimacy that would be of great benefit were China willing to restart the dialogue that has been suspended since 2010.

But China has not taken advantage of this opportunity to move toward peace. Instead, authorities view the Dalai Lama with suspicion, disparage him, and accuse him of fomenting separatism. They seem to believe that with his eventual, inevitable death, they will be assured of consolidating their hold on Tibet.

We are not so sure. Today, all around the world, we see the consequences of the repression of religious and ethnic minorities.

There is still time. It is not too late for China to choose a different path. Imagine the world’s reaction if Chinese authorities were to affirm the right of the 14th Dalai Lama to return to his homeland if he so desires. Imagine if they were to afford His Holiness the respect he deserves as a man of peace. Imagine if through good-faith dialogue they sought to ease tensions, rather than implementing policies that exacerbate them. Imagine.

We urge our fellow Americans to join in calling on Chinese leaders to let the Dalai Lama go home.

In my analysis, Tibet’s problems result of spread of Communism to mainland China in 1949. I view Tibet’s problems as mere symptoms of The Cold War in Asia. Most unfortunately, the US efforts to contain spread of Communism to mainland China failed. This setback does not mean that the world can ignore Tibet’s problems.

Tibetan spiritual leader Dalai Lama on Monday said Tibetans believed in the law of causality and the Tibetan problem was a consequence of old causes that had ripened.

Talking to Australian audience in Sydney through video conferencing, Dalai Lama said according to Chinese history book, in 7th, 8th and 9th century, there were three major empires: the Chinese, Mongol and the Tibetan empire.

In the 9th century, due to some quarrel among the Tibetan emperor, Tibet disintegrated. The problem started during that century. After that I think Tibetans paid attention to their own small circle, including the lamas, locals and landlords in different parts of Tibet, resulting in disintegration, he said.

“History had produced that way. Old causes have already there, so there will be consequences. Nobody can change that,” Dalai Lama said.

He said Tibet remained as one entity because of the Tibetan Buddhist tradition. “300 volumes of Buddhist texts translated from India and the language that covered the whole Tibetan area was what kept Tibetans as one entity. Otherwise in the political matter, for several centuries, we really neglected” he further stated.

Talking about global conflicts and lack of moral consciousness in societies, the Nobel laureate pressed for the need for a more complete education system that caters to the overall well being of a human being.

“Every 7 billion human being have every right to be a happy human being. Now the concern is the existing modern education. It is very much oriented towards material value.

Therefore the generation who receive that kind of education eventually goes on to create materialist life and materialistic culture. When they are faced with mental level problems, they are helpless,” he said.

Talking about mistakes in his life, he said ‘I think in political matter I feel there have been no major mistakes. At the age 16, I took the responsibility.

Then Tibet’s situation was very difficult and delicate so the Regent asked me to take the responsibility. The previous Dalai Lama took the responsibility at the age of 18. I told him that 16 was too early but the circumstances forced me to take the responsibility.

So I lost my own freedom.

At 24, I lost my country, then there were a lot of problems. But I think, now looking back, during those difficult periods, no major mistakes. I think all my major decisions eventually seem very correct, he added.

His Holiness mentioned an old Tibetan official who remained skeptical of His Holiness’ decision to flee Lhasa in 1959, but after the events of the Cultural Revolution, he concluded that the decision was correct.

Ahead of his Beijing visit, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said the US should express publicly that China needs to engage in meaningful and direct dialogue with Dalai Lama or his representatives, without preconditions, to lower tensions.

Pompeo also said, “I will urge China to cease restrictions on human rights of Tibetans as well as their religious, linguistic and cultural traditions.”

Discussion: Pompeo to discuss bilateral ties with Chinese counterpart tomorrow

Pompeo, who was responding to questions asked by Members of the US Senate Foreign Relations Committee, said: “I will also raise concerns (with China) about the lack of regular access to the Tibetan Autonomous Region (TAR) for US journalists, diplomats, academics and others.”

Pompeo will visit China tomorrow and will discuss the bilateral ties and major global and regional issues of common concern.

Tibetan Policy Act: Will fully implement the Tibetan Policy Act: Pompeo to lawmakers

The top American diplomat assured the lawmakers that he will fully implement the Tibetan Policy Act and in particular “will urge China for the release of Tibetan political prisoners.”

Pompeo said he will also press the Chinese Government to respect the decision of Tibetan Buddhists in selecting, educating, and venerating the lamas who lead the faith, such as the Dalai Lama.

Fact: Dalai Lama’s successor should take approval from Communist Party: China

China said that the successor to Dalai Lama must be chosen according to the religious rituals and historical conventions as well as the backing from ruling Communist Party.

How Gayatri or The Universal consciousness Works?

As per Rigveda, Sun is related to heart which is the seat of ‘chit’ or ‘consciousness’, vision of Rigvedic rishis is further elaborated in treatise of Brahmanas, Aranyakas, Upanishads.

Patanjali in his Yog sutra clearly said ‘ह्रदये
चित्त–संवित्‘. while reciting Gayatri, ‘Savita’ the heavenly source of power to Sun or Surya, is invoked which is reflected in term ‘वरेण्यम्‘ of Gayatri Mantra, It’s a process component of mantra, when वरेण्यम् is understood, Gayatri appears to be working.

In Rigveda, it is also said that by recital of Gayatri, A Nation radiates and becomes stronger. Let’s do Gayatri recital and keep the world moving in direction as we think it to move.

Some scholars are discussing what is universal consciousness without knowing Rigvedic account of Gayatri and Patanjali’s Yogasutra and leading nowhere, Hence this is the note !

Biological Diversity is a creative process as living organisms have no choice other than that of existing as Individuals with Individuality. Ever since Life arrived on planet Earth, living matter, living substance, or living material has remained the same while diverse forms of life lived and became extinct during different periods of geological time. When we speak about biological diversity, we have to constantly remind ourselves that there are certain values which never change under the influence of time. Things in Nature change if and only if the change is operated by an underlying unchanging principle.

Language is the peculiar possession of anatomically modern humans. Prehistoric man could paint, draw, and carve images but did not use human language. Linguistic diversity has to be known by recognizing unchanging human anatomical and physiological mechanisms involved in generating sound, and perception of sound which includes analysis of sound information. Human Speech and Human Writing are two-faces of same language ability and in Clinical Medicine they constitute problems of Speech Disorders.

Life is about using Knowledge to perform a myriad of living functions. In other words, Life is Knowledge in Action. All living functions without any exception need an external source of energy. Life on planet Earth is possible as living forms have capacity to use energy from an extraterrestrial source. Earth and living forms belong to Natural Realm, and the source of energy belongs to Supernatural or heavenly Realm. We see Sun in the sky, but it belongs to Supernatural or Heavenly Realm. Fortunately, there is a barrier between these two realms to make life possible. For Sun is the Source of Supernatural Power/Energy/Force, Sun is the source of Knowledge that living forms use to perform diverse living functions including use of Speech. Diversity that we experience on Earth is possible for Sun’s Energy is that unchanging Principle that operates all natural phenomena.

This is Sanskrit, a language, a carrier of prolific thoughts produced in the era India was truly a power virtually influencing entire world’s business, philosophy and polity.

What is The Real Concern

Real concern is, Indians are not awakening to their rich heritage which once made the world modern and in return made India ‘Golden Bird’ which
prophet Mohammad once said ‘I get fragrance of heavens from India’ this is said by ill-famed Asaduddin Owaisi but our political community missed to take advantage of it.

Another concern is India’s bad national IQ which is 86, almost in scale of Africa and this reflects in our people’s loss of logic and power of judgment.

The Sanskrit And It’s Word Factory


Maker of Sanskrit grammar Indra assisted by Vayu, ordained by Brihaspati has also manufactured a word making factory termed as RIS (Root, Infix, Suffix) that shall keep creating more stems and thereby new and new words. Sanskrit roots are monosyllabic neurologically designed unit of sounds which no other Indo-European languages have spoken on planet earth in our times.
Using this RIS factory, Sanskrit has already created 740 million words roughly estimated by Kamlesh Kapoor.
All Indo European languages had borrowed Sanskrit stems and treated as their root, having no idea how the borrowed ‘stem’ is formed originally in Sanskrit, this is a phenomenal borrowing.
The true linguistic scenario of the day is, even we speak a non-Sanskrit language, still we speak Sanskrit.
Sanskrit Word Borrowed in Latin
On particular question of Latin and it’s relation with Sanskrit, it’s good to quote Vans Kennedy, an Scottish judge-advocate-general who turned to become oriental translator to British government, in his work “Origin and Affinity of the Principal Languages of Asia and Europe” (1828) stated that “Sanskrit itself is the primitive language from which the Greek, Latin, and the mother of the Teutonic dialects were originally derived”.
I cannot afford to not to mention Dr Ashok Bagchi who was among first generation neurologists of post-independence era and a distinguished linguist who earned his MS at university of Vienna in 1954 and after homecoming did a D. Litt in Sanskrit.
Dr Bagchi on “history and origin of modern medical terminology”, makes 72 pages long list of medical terms and successfully shows how Sanskrit’s terms borrowed in Latin, pertaining to human anatomy, physiology and medicines gave rise to modern terminology of the medical science.
He narrates an interesting story that motivated him to carry out this research on philology from perspectives of Sanskrit and medical science, He says during his stay in Italy, once he visited a thoratic clinic at Bologna, where he got stunned seeing the terms displayed on the board – “NASO, KANO, GALO”, a familiar trio, resembling bangla-hindi a dialect of India.
Dr Ashok Bagchi, began his work under the influence of the AIT theory propounded those days but ended with a finishing touch in words – ” I look forward to future researchers to enter into matter with unbiased and uninhibited minds, circumventing the prevalent dogma of philology, Whatever Pokorney has said may be fallible and not absolute”

Relevance of Sanskrit in present times becomes apparent when we try to account for man’s existence; how does the ‘Subject’ called “I” becomes the Object called “I Am” that can be verified by Science. The thing called “I” will not be known until and unless it is transformed into a living being that claims, “I Am.” Science is not able to fully account for the phenomenon called human existence. We all know that man exists in present day phenomenal world, but we are not able to explain it as to how such existence is possible.

The Sanskrit word or ‘SABDA’ called “ASMI” accounts for transformation of “I” into a recognizable entity called “I AM.” Asmi describes “UNITY” or ‘EIKYATA’, the coming together, yoking, or joining of “I” with an external, unchanging Reality, the fundamental basis for all Existence. Things in Nature change under the influence of Time, but every natural change is operated by an Unchanging Principle. There is no natural phenomenon of this world which may not require operation of an underlying principle.

To answer problems of this age, man must know himself and know the World in which he exists. Knowing “ASMI” is the beginning of that learning process.

Giving up the idea of an independent Tibet, the Dalai Lama talks of peace, democracy and self–rule

The institution of the Dalai Lama, the spiritual and political head of the Tibetans, has survived for over 400 years. Since 2001, however, the 14th Dalai Lama, Tenzin Gyatso, has reduced his involvement in politics in a bid to introduce representative democracy. In an exclusive interview, the Nobel Peace Prize winner spoke about seeking autonomy for Tibet within China, and his commitment to reviving ancient Indian Buddhist teachings. Edited excerpts:

On 60 years of exile and the possibility of returning home.

I have lived in India for the better part of my life, but the possibility of returning to Tibet is there. Since we are not seeking separation, there’s a good chance that we may return. I admire the model of the European Union where sovereign nations come together to protect common regional interests. In our times, sovereignty is important but protecting common interest more so. Tibet is an independent nation, but now the time has come for it to embrace change. The ancient reality has changed. We will remain within the People’s Republic of China, but we should have the full right to preserve our ecology and culture. Tibetan refugees have preserved well our traditional language and knowledge systems. Our people have been the most successful refugee community anywhere. They are hardworking and law-abiding. While the main base is India, they have also moved to Canada, Switzerland, and other European countries.

 
 

What about the Tibetans in Tibet?

There are six million Tibetans living inside Tibet who trust me. So, I have the moral responsibility to protect them as well. Although I gave up handling political matters since 2001, when I retired, I continued to be partially involved for the next 10 years. In 2011, I retired fully. Since childhood, I have admired democracy. Our old system of the Dalai Lama and regents has too much power vested in a few people. That is a mistake. The best thing is a democratic system. So, I began work on creating a democratic system for Tibetans. We created the system of elected political leadership in 2001.

Within Tibet, my priority is the environment. All major rivers of Asia come from Tibet. I think over a billion people depend on rivers originating from Tibet — Brahmaputra, Mekong, Indus, etc. Due to global warming and other reasons, this is affected. Once I met a Chinese ecologist who said that global warming levels in the Tibetan plateau are as much as in the North and South Poles, so he called Tibet the Third Pole. The environmental damage and deforestation needs to stop.

On reviving ancient Indian knowledge systems.

Since childhood, we have studied texts authored by Indian Buddhist scholars such as Nagarjuna, Aryadeva, Buddhapalita and Dharmakirti; all our knowledge comes from India. Buddha attained enlightenment here. All the great masters of Nalanda are Indian. Hence, we Tibetans refer to India as our Aryabhoomi (precious land). Historically, our relation is very deep. When Buddhists go to Bodh Gaya, they collect the leaves of the Bodhi tree and sometimes even the bird droppings! (laughs) When we come to India, we feel we have returned to our spiritual home. So, I feel very strongly about subjects such as ancient Indian psychology. Practices such as Shamata and Vipassana involve analytical meditation, and single-minded focus to analyze the nature of reality. In the Judeo-Christian tradition, this is not emphasized.

The problems of the current world are our own creation. War mobilizes violence. It is a human creation. We need to revive the ancient Indian concept of karuna (compassion) and ahimsa (non-violence). The 1,000-year-old tradition of secularism is very relevant to today’s world. I consider myself a messenger of ancient Indian thought.

The Nalanda tradition is a scientific way. The Buddha himself once asked his followers to not accept his teachings out of faith or devotion, but only after thorough investigation. In fact, some of his teachings were rejected by his followers this way. It was around 8 CE that an Indian Buddhist master, Santarakshita, brought Buddha dharma to Tibet. I strongly feel this tradition must be preserved, as an academic subject. Tibetan knowledge is Indian knowledge. It’s a pity that modern India has completely neglected it.

On religious harmony.

Though the fundamental message of all religions is the same, people continue to fight over it. In Sri Lanka, Buddhists are fighting with Tamil Hindus, and in Myanmar, they are fighting with Muslims. The Buddhists don’t believe in god. So between Buddhists and non-Buddhists there are serious differences. This ought to be resolved through intellectual debate. Many Nalanda masters learnt much from non-Buddhists through constructive debate. That is the greatness of India. Though there were differences in philosophical thought, it was never used for propagating violence. Hindu, Jain and Buddhist philosophies are home-grown, and Zoroastrian, Judaism and Christianity came from outside. Today, they all live together here. I am completely convinced that religious harmony is possible everywhere.

OVER 150 INVASIVE SPECIES DISCOVERED IN TIBET – XINHUA

LHASA, June 11 (Xinhua) — Scientists have found over 150 unsafe invasive species in Tibet Autonomous Region after two years of research.

Led by Tibet’s regional institute of plateau biology, the research team found over 130 invasive plants including cotton weed, and more than 20 invasive animals in the region, like bull frogs and the red-eared slider (a type of turtle), both on the list of the world’s 100 most invasive species. They are also found in other parts of China.

Tu Yanli, associate researcher with the institute, said the drastic increase of these species in the area is due to the rapidly growing economy and the more convenient transportation.

The Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, where Tibet is located, has long been recognized as a natural biological shield.

To prevent the invasive species from damaging the local environment, the regional government has taken various measures such as strengthening border inspection and establishing quarantine zones.
