WHOLE DUDE – WHOLE LIGHT :

Light Bulb - Whole Dude - Whole Light: The word 'light' means to shine, to illuminate and it intends to drive away darkness. Kindly take a second look at this image of Light Bulb. The Bulb is lit, or live, and the Bulb is burning or living. The Bulb is alive and it is not connected to a source of Power. The Bulb is not plugged in or connected to a device that supplies the electric power that it needs to light up. If man is compared to this Light Bulb, man is alive and performs his living functions if and only if he is connected to a source of Power.

The words, Light, and Darkness are terms that are used in both a literal or natural sense, and in a figurative or metaphorical sense. Darkness is used to denote the absence of light, to describe spiritual blindness, sorrow, and distress. Darkness is associated with evil, danger, crime, and ignorance. Darkness has been the metaphor that describes both mystery and the place of eternal punishment. Light is considered to be superior to darkness in several ways. God is the Creator of both Light and Darkness and man has glorified Light as Divine Power. The first recorded utterance of God in the Bible is, “Let there be Light”( The Book of Genesis, Chapter 1, verse 3), the first sign of divine operation in the world of Chaos and Darkness. Light is the essence of all God’s gifts. Light is the source of Life, is often used in synonyms for being alive, or being born, or for the pleasure of life, or for good days for the righteous, or for an essential in man’s happiness. Light brings order to the world and is often coupled with Truth and hence it gives Knowledge and Guidance. The recipient of Light himself becomes a Light, shining outwardly, and inwardly. In cultures across the world, God is described as the manifestation of Light, dwells in Light and imparts Light as a Divine gift. Very often, the Holy Scriptures of various religions are held in high esteem and are viewed as Lamp or Light. God and Scripture illuminates man and believers are “people of the Light”, or “The Light of the world.” In the fight against Darkness, heavenly Light is used as armor or a weapon. Love of God is Light and he who hates his brother is in Darkness. Light has an uplifting power of its own to lift the mood of man from feelings of sorrow, despair, gloom, and hopelessness. Light serves as a beacon of hope and provides mental illumination, and spiritual inspiration. To give Light means to show the way and it helps man to avoid the obstacles, or troubles that he finds in his Life’s Journey. I have used the term ‘Whole Light’ to communicate that the Whole Dude or the Whole Person would be incomplete without the help of Light of his Life.

LEAD KINDLY LIGHT HYMN (1833) BY JOHN HENRY NEWMAN :

Whole Dude - Whole Light - Lead Kindly Light:
"Deepam JyothiH, Para Brahma, Deepam sarva tamo apaham,
Deepena saadhyate sarvam, Sandhyaa Deepa Namostute."
Salutations to the Evening Lamp of Light, Light is Flame, Light is LORD GOD, Light banishes all troubles and problems of ignorance, and every thing is possible because of Light.

Lead, kindly Light, amid th’ encircling gloom, lead Thou me on!

The night is dark, and I am far from home, lead Thou me on!

Keep Thou my feet; I do not ask to see

The distant scene; one step enough for me.

I was not ever thus, nor prayed that Thou shouldst lead me on;

I loved to choose and see my path; but now lead Thou me on!

I loved the garish day, and, spite of fears,

Pride ruled my will, Remember not past years!

So long Thy power hath blest me, sure it still will lead me on.

O’er moor and fen, o’er crag and torrent, till the night is gone,

And with the morn those angel faces smile, which I

Have loved long since, and lost awhile!

Meantime, along the narrow rugged path, Thyself hast trod,

Lead, Savior, lead me home in childlike faith, home to my God,

To rest forever after earthly strife

In the calm light of everlasting life.

I say, I want Light even in the brightness of morning light, what would you say???  Please share your views and thoughts. Have you said “Bud Light?”

Whole Man - Whole Theory: I intentionally combined the words Whole and Dude to describe the Unity of Body, Mind, and Soul to establish the singularity called Man.
