BHARAT DARSHAN – DEFINING INDIAN IDENTITY – MY BIRTHPLACE. SAINT POET OF INDIA, THIRUVALLUVAR LIVED IN MYLAPORE, MY BIRTHPLACE

Mylapore – My birthplace:

BHARAT DARSHAN – DEFINING INDIAN IDENTITY – MYLAPORE – MY BIRTHPLACE IS KNOWN AS THE TOWN OF PEACOCKS

The Tamils called it Mailapur (town of peacocks), Mailiga Vandha Voor (town where peacock offers worship) and in the Sanskrit language it is known as Mayurpuri (the abode of peacocks). Greeks called it Maliarpha and the Portuguese called it Meliapur. Finally, the English called it Mylapore.

Bharat Darshan – Defining Indian Identity: My birthplace, Mylapore derives its name from peacock birds. A peacock displays its brilliant plumage.

Mylapore is a known center of human habitation for thousands of years. Even before the birth of Jesus Christ, the Tamil Saint Poet Thiruvalluvar lived here.He conveyed his noble thoughts in the form of poems and his work known as Thirukkural can rightly be claimed as a gift of God to mankind. I am happy to present some poems translated into English by Shri.J Narayanaswamy.

Reading From Thirukkural.10. Kindness in Words

91. Sweet words laced with love, free from

deceit, are the gift of the enlightened

92. Saying sweet things with a smile, is as

good as munificence of a kind soul

93. Earnest words from the mind, conveyed

with a smile, have virtue in them

94. The woe of unfriendliness does not afflict

those who instil mirth by sweet words

95. Those adorned with modesty, speaking sweet

truths do not need other decorations

96. Pursuing virtue in the goodness of

fruitful words, vanishes harm

97. Graceful words of kindness

yield fruitful good deeds

98. Sweet words free from deceit, afford

pleasure to life and fame beyond it

99. Who perceives seeds of goodness in sweet

words have no mind for harsh things

100. None having ripe fruits relish raw ones; who will

speak harsh when sweetness can achieve good.

Please feel free to spread those sweet words which took birth in Mylapore.

Whole Dude – Whole Icons

Whole Dude – Whole Icon: A visual representation of God for religious devotion and worship.

An icon is a religious work of art, most commonly a painting. They are not simply artworks; “an icon is a sacred image used in religious devotion”. Icons (from the Greek eikones) are sacred images. “Icon” and “symbol” are terms that we often use interchangeably, but there’s actually a subtle difference: An icon is a literal, visual representation of the thing it represents, whereas a symbol can be a more abstract representation of something.

The Portrayal of Religious Icons:

Whole Dude – Whole Icons: Defining Indian Identity – The portrayal of religious icons

Apart from the basic differences in the ideas and thoughts of various religious traditions of this world, there is a fundamental difference in the visual characterization of the religious icons. The first thing that strikes the mind of the reader of religious scriptures is the difference in the way the scriptures portray their icons. When I read The Holy Bible, The Holy Quran, no religious image comes before my eyes. I have to really struggle hard to imagine as to who is speaking to me.These Scriptures have several characters which are clearly human but there is no description of their physical attributes and the portrayal is lacking in information that would help the reader to develop a visual image. If you read the above verse, the beautiful image of Lord Krishna automatically comes before you without any effort. I define this as Indian Identity, it is a reflection upon our nature and our literature does a marvellous job giving life and color to the icons and I feel it becomes very easy for me to get connected to them and listen to them as they guide us in our spiritual journey.

Whole Dude – Whole Terror: Defending Indian Identity-The Challenge of Terror. The tragic scene at Lumbini Amusement Park, Hyderabad, India on August 25, 2007 (Hyderabad Bombings).

In the Land of Bharat from where beautiful thoughts have blossomed, the people have now become increasingly vulnerable to Terror Attacks and a countless number of innocent lives have already perished because of evil forces which desire to wipe out our Identity as a people. While we commit ourselves to promote peace and goodwill and work for the well- being of all people, there is no escape from the challenge that we face today. As a community and as a nation, we have no alternative other than preparing ourselves to this threat that is showing its ugly face without prior notice or warning.

A Strategy to face the Security Challenges of Terrorism

Whole Dude – Whole Terror: Defending Indian Identity-The Challenge of Terror. The tragic scene at Lumbini Amusement Park, Hyderabad, India on August 25, 2007 (Hyderabad Bombings).

Terror and ruthless violence have become the tools of fanatics who would like to impose their socio-cultural agenda to bring about large scale societal changes by using coercion and not negotiation. The recent bomb attacks in the city of Hyderabad on August 25, 2007 is establishing a trend. The targets of terror are very soft and nothing was known about an impending attack. There is no easily identifiable group. There is no proclaimed goal or agenda other than that of destroying the fabric of the Indian society.

We should stop clinging to the traditional views of conventional wars between countries. Each incident of terror attack should be legally defined as an act of war and the suspects should be held accountable for war crimes. The Armed Forces of the country should be equipped, prepared and redeployed to join this battle at a short notice. The military planners need to evolve a strategy for urban warfare and to pursue an enemy hiding in densely populated areas and to engage enemy targets with great precision and fire power which could be delivered with greater accuracy. The military intelligence capabilities should be enhanced to evolve military operations against internal enemies. We may need trained, rapid response teams to respond to this kind of aggression and its aftermath of wounded victims. The asymmetrical war unleashed by the terror groups is of equal importance in terms of the danger it poses to our national sovereignty. The response to each attack should come from the nation as a whole with the Armed Forces keeping the option of a military strike in retaliation.

The most important task following a terror attack would be that of caring for the victims. The Army Response Teams should be called in to arrange for the evacuation and treatment of the victims in the same manner that casualties from a battle field are taken care of. The wounded should be treated, rehabilitated and be provided followup care and paid a disability pension if required. We need to take care of victims instead of forgetting about them after paying some compensation. The investigation of the incidents and the prosecution of suspects should happen under the jurisdictional directions from the military authority. There should be no public disclosures about the evidence and the tools and methods used for collection of evidence. Such disclosures would only help the terror groups to plan their future attacks better. The suspects should be tried under the provisions of the military law in military courts. Indian citizens who are accomplices to these acts of war should be charged with treason and tried as traitors. If we are at war with groups and terror outfits based in foreign countries, our trade and diplomatic relationships should reflect the state of war that exists and there should be no normalization of relationships till such time the threat is neutralized.

Our government has an obligation to protect and defend the rights of the people and we need to step up our response to these acts of war of aggression.

Sanatana Dharma of India. Theertham, Tirtha, Tirthasthan, Tirtha Yatra, Tirtha Snan, and the ritual of Bathing and Purification.

The ancient traditions of India are often described as ‘Sanatana Dharma’. Indians for a very long time recognized the significance of Water and use it in various rituals, particularly for the purification of the human body which is prone to sickness or illness attributed to sinful thoughts, words, and actions. The term ‘Theertham’ refers to water that is sanctified by prayerful thought and by using it in the devotional worship of God.

Sanatana Dharma of India – Theertam, Tirtha, Tirthasthan, Tirtha Yatra, Tirtha Snan and the ritual of Bathing and Purification.

The term ‘Tirtha’ refers to a body of water such as a well, pond, lake, river, or sea which gets an elevated status because of its geographical association with a physical location, place, or position named ‘Sthan’ or ‘Kshetra’. The physical journey to visit the place of Tirthasthan is called Tirtha Yatra.

Sanatana Dharma of India – Theertham, Tirtha, Tirthasthan, Tirtha Yatra, Tirtha Snan, and the ritual of Bathing and Purification.

The act of taking a bath or dipping into the water at a Tirthasthan is called Tirtha Snan.

I ask my readers to reflect on the divine attributes of the Water Molecule. The original, sweet taste of fresh water cannot be discovered by the study of the properties of the Chemical Elements, Hydrogen and Oxygen which combine to form the Chemical Compound called Water. Man, like several other terrestrial creatures, depends upon Fresh Water delivered from Heaven.

Millions of people have taken to the waters at the confluence of India’s sacred Ganges and Yamuna rivers as part of the Kumbh Mela festival – humanity’s largest gathering.

Officials told the BBC some 15m people bathed on Tuesday. They expect about 120m visitors over 49 days.

Hindus believe bathing at the rivers will cleanse their sins and bring salvation.

The holy men were among the first procession to arrive early Tuesday.

Sadhus – or ascetics – smeared ash on their bodies as they came out of the water and chanted “Har Har Gange”, or “Mother Ganges”, and danced while posing for photographers.

The Naga sadhus are the biggest draw of the festival – held in the northern city of Allahabad, recently renamed Prayagraj – and arrived early in the morning in massive colorful processions.

Thousands of the Sadhus – naked and wearing marigold garlands around their necks – were escorted by police to the river as they chanted slogans invoking Shiva, the Hindu god of destruction. Many were waving tridents and swords.

At the last Kumbh in 2013, female ascetics were allowed to bathe at the confluence of the rivers – known as the Sangam – for the first time. A few hundred transgender people were among those who bathed on Tuesday morning.

More than a million foreign pilgrims will also take part in the festival, senior administration official Rajeev Rai told the BBC.

He and other organizers had been preparing for more than a year for the event, which dwarfs the annual Hajj pilgrimage to Islam’s holiest sites in Saudi Arabia.

The mela (meaning “fair” in Hindi) has been held in Allahabad for centuries now, but it has grown into a mega event in the past two decades.

This year the gathering will be particularly huge and many believe India’s Hindu nationalist government has organized it with an eye on key general elections due in the summer.

Massive billboards of Prime Minister Narendra Modi dot Allahabad city and the Mela ground. Huge cardboard cut-outs have been placed strategically at the bathing areas.

A temporary tent city spread over 32 sq km (12 sq miles) has been set up to accommodate the masses, complete with hundreds of kilometers of new roads. Hospitals, banks, and fire services have been set up just for the festival, along with 120,000 toilets.

Hundreds of new train services are running to and from Allahabad to tackle the rush of pilgrims and more than 30,000 police and paramilitaries have been deployed to provide security and manage the crowds.

In the run-up to the festival, religious sects held daily processions marked by much pomp and show.

At one such procession on Sunday night, there were elephants, camels, and horses. Brass bands and drummers played, as religious leaders sitting atop several vehicles threw marigold flowers to thousands of devotees.

On Monday – a day before the official start of the festival – tens of thousands of pilgrims bathed at the Sangam. Some then lit clay lamps and floated them along with flowers in the Ganges.

The atmosphere at the mela is festive, and the authorities have announced a calendar of music and dance performances. But there’s plenty of impromptu entertainment taking place by the roadside, with children performing rope tricks and shows by drummers and ballad singers.

Most pilgrims, however, say they are here to “answer the call of Mother Ganges”.

“We believe that bathing here will destroy our sins,” farmer Pramod Sharma said.

“The waters here have regenerative properties. Bathing here can cure your ailments. It also removes obstacles from your way,” Shahbji Raja said.

Kumbh Mela at a glance

  • A pilgrimage in which Hindus gather at points along the Ganges, Yamuna and mythical Saraswati rivers
  • This year’s event expects 120 million visitors over seven weeks, dwarfing last year’s Hajj pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia which drew about 2.4 million
  • Astrology determines most aspects of the festival, including its date, duration, and location
  • The most recent full Kumbh, held in 2013 in Allahabad, was also a Maha (or great) Kumbh, which happen every 144 years. It attracted an estimated 100 million visitors
  • A lost-and-found camp was set up in 1946 and has since helped reunite countless family members and friends who get separated in the vast crowds
  • This year, 15 lost-and-found camps have been set up. These computerized centers are interconnected and their announcements will be heard across the Mela grounds. Details will also be uploaded on Facebook and Twitter to help trace the missing

Whole Dude – Whole Person

Whole Dude – Whole Person: The Making of a Whole Name for the Whole Person. The Choice of the Name is predestined by the Science of Light called Jyotish.

The name ‘ Indian ‘ is related to the great river Sindhu which is also known as Indus. In 1492, Christopher Columbus sailed westwards towards setting sun to reach the shores of India. He discovered people living on islands whom he had mistakenly named as Indians. Apart from those island dwellers, the natives of the entire American continent, the so-called New World were named Indians. In spite of concerted efforts to rename them as Native Americans, the name Indian is still in use.

Name is a very important tool to describe personal identity. The word name as a noun, describes a person, place or thing. It is also a word or words by which an object of thought is known. Indians did not choose the name India or Indian. However, the people of our Land of BHARAT, are extremely fond of choosing names. This fondness for selecting, using and remembering names is an important Cultural attribute which defines our identity. In my case, the choice of the Name is predestined by the Science of Light. Earthly events have celestial connections.

The Tradition of Giving Names:

Whole Dude – Whole Person: The Making of a Whole Name for the Whole Person. Lord Shiva is known as Rudra, Neela Kantha, Pasupati and several other names. This fondness for selecting, using, and remembering names is an important cultural attribute which defines Indian Identity. The Choice of my Name is predestined.

The name ” Rudra ” is one of the earliest names known to humanity. According to legend, the Vedic God Rudra acquired His name from His Creator Brahma. As per the story, a boy was seen ‘crying’ and ‘wandering’. The father had asked the boy the reason for his ‘howling’. The boy had answered that he was ‘weeping’ for he was not given a name. So, the father created a name by bringing together two Sanskrit words which mean ‘crying’ and ‘wandering’. Thus the name Ru+dra was born. This legend is an example of our emotional dependence upon the need for names. The major Deities such as VISHNU and SHIVA that Indians worship are known by thousands of names and remembering those names is deemed as an act of devoted worship. The use of these names is a fundamental right and I understand the term religious freedom in the context of my freedom to choose the name that I would worship. The religious experience that I had gained while growing up in India relates to the use of names as an act of worship. Worship would have no meaning or purpose and would not give me a sense of direction if I do not remember the beautiful names that I have come to know.

A Personal Name and a Personal Story:

This landmark Temple of Kapaleeswara binds me to my birthplace of Mylapore, Madras(Chennai). The Presiding Diety of this Temple is chosen as my personal Protector and hence I am given the name of "RUDRA".
Whole Dude – Whole Person: The choice of my Name is predestined. This landmark Temple of Kapaleeswarar binds me to my birthplace Mylapore, Madras (Chennai). If my birthplace had been different, my Name would have been different. The Presiding Deity of this Temple is chosen as my personal Protector and hence I am given the name of RUDRA.

My personal name is very much a part of my personal story. If my birthplace had been different, my Name would have been different. My Name is chosen entirely due to the circumstances of my birth and I remain connected to the persons and the places for the rest of my life. I describe MYLAPORE of MADRAS city (CHENNAI) as my birth place and I describe RAJAHMUNDRY of East Godavari District as my native place.

Whole Dude – Whole Person: MY IDENTITY AND MY CONNECTION. I CALL MYSELF AS ‘REBBAPRAGADA’; MY MOTHER BELONGS TO THE ‘KASTURI’ FAMILY. THIS IS A PICTURE OF KASTURI BROTHERS. FROM LEFT TO RIGHT, 1. DR. KASTURI NARAYANA MURTHY, M.D. (MY MATERNAL GRANDFATHER), 2. KASTURI. SESHAGIRI RAO (MARRIED TO MRS. RUKMINI, DAUGHTER OF DR. SARVEPALLI RADHAKRISHNAN), 3. KASTURI NARASIMHA RAO, 4. KASTURI KRISHNA RAO, 5. KASTURI SOMESHWARA RAO, 6. KASTURI RAMACHANDRA RAO, AND 7. KASTURI SIVAPRASADA RAO (FAR RIGHT).

My mother had given birth to me at my maternal grandfather’s residence 2/37  KUTCHERY road in Mylapore. Corporation of Chennai, Public Health Department entered my birth in the Birth Register and issued a birth certificate which records my gender, the date and time of my birth, the place of my birth, the names of my father and mother, the registration number and it does not show my name as my parents did not give me a name while reporting my birth.

Whole Dude – Whole Person: My paternal grandfather. The family astrologer who had prepared my horoscope predicted an inauspicious event and the prediction came true five months after my birth. But the prediction did not deter my grandfather in any manner. My grandmother whose name I had acquired told me that my grandfather had loved me with all his heart without any concern about the astrological prediction.

I spent the years of my early childhood at my paternal grandfather’s mansion in INNESPETA of Rajahmundry, East Godavari District of Madras Presidency and later Andhra Pradesh, India.

As per the traditional belief and the practice of Vedic Astrology known as Jyotish (Science of Light),  my birth star predicted and warned about some forthcoming inauspicious events. The astrological calculations suggested that remedial action is needed to counter the negative aspects of the birth star. Accordingly, my father had performed a ritualistic worship popularly known as Rudra Abhishekam  and worshiped Lord Shiva at the beautiful KAPALEESWARAR temple of Mylapore. To ensure that I would always enjoy the blessings of Lord Shiva, my father decided to name me as Rudra. Hence, the name of Rudra instantly connects me to my birth place of Mylapore and to KAPALEESWARAR as my personal protector.

Whole Dude – Whole Person: What’s in a Name? The making of a Whole Name for the Whole Person. The choice of the Name is predestined by the Science of Light called Jyotish.

My birth star also had forewarned about consequences that would impact my paternal grandfather. There was no easy escape from the influences and the second part of my personal name was carefully chosen to please my paternal grandmother, Srimati. Lakshmi Narasamma. Because of the gender variation, the name Narasamma got transformed to Narasimham. This name immediately connects me to the Laws of Karma.

Whole Dude – Whole Person: The Making of a Whole Name for the Whole Person. The choice of the Name is predestined by the Science of Light called Jyotish.

These names are well-known and particularly in the southern States of India, the name Narasimham or variations of that name are frequently used. As long as I remain a conscious entity, my grandparents live in my consciousness. Astrology or Jyotish may not be a perfect Science. Horoscopes may not predict the future course of events in a person’s life. I exist in this world and I am known by a name which was specifically selected for me because of the predictions cast by my horoscope and the prediction came true and  I find enough justification for this Indian Cultural Tradition called Jyotish.

Whole Dude – Whole person: The Rebbapragadas Group describes people related to this group of people and others connected to Rebbapragadas.

A unique name and a unique perspective:

In 1965, I joined Kurnool Medical College after I obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from Osmania University, Hyderabad. At Kurnool, a batch of B.Sc., degree students were directly admitted into the second year of the medical education program that awards the M.B.B.S degree. Professor Rama Murthy of the Anatomy Department was very fond of knowing and recognizing each of his students by their personal names. On the first day of our Anatomy class, the attendance register was not ready and Professor Rama Murthy had decided to call out names from the list of selected candidates. He very solemnly announced to the class that the roll call begins with a very angry and fiery name. We were intently listening to know what that name could be. Apparently, the list of selected students was prepared according to merit and my name was placed at the top of the list. He called my name and expressed his sense of disbelief. He asked me to verify my name and told the class that it was the first time in his life that he encountered a person with the personal name of Rudra Narasimham. His statement appears to be right and I have not known any other person who may have the same name. It is one of its own kind and is unique and special and these two names were put together to establish me as a Whole Person.

Whole Dude – Whole Person: Socrates implored people to ‘know thy self.’ He had stated that the unexamined life is not worth living. Understanding life involves understanding personal identity and name is a word by which an object of thought is known.

The name Rudra, the first part of my first name is related to SHIVA who is recognized as the God of Learning. Shiva is like Socrates. Socrates of 5th century B.C. is claimed to be the father of western thought. He had implored people to “know thy self.” Socrates had stated that the ‘unexamined life is not worth living’. Shiva guides me to reflect upon life. Shiva encourages introspection, reflecting upon your own mind and thoughts. Shiva defines that the purpose of learning is to acquire the ability to think for oneself.

The name Narasimham represents to me a Whole Person who defends my right to choose the Name for my worship. The story about  PRAHLAD represents the Cultural importance attached to personal choice in matters of religious worship. Names of persons, places and the legends form a part of Cultural legacy of our Land and define the Indian Identity described by the Name Bharat.

Whole Dude – Whole Satisfaction

Whole Dude – Whole Man: Holistic Education for Whole Man or Whole Dude. One Body with all its many parts constitutes the Whole Body. God is the True Provider of Whole Satisfaction.

I describe the Seven Dimensions of the Man to define the phrase Whole Man or Whole Dude. These dimensions are 1. Man, the Physical Being with cells, tissues, organs, and organ systems, 2. Man, the Mental Being with thoughts, feelings, and moods, 3. Man, the Social Being, in which the Singularity of Man, in reality, represents a vast biological or biotic community of interacting individual, independent cells apart from trillions of organisms, 4. Man, the Moral Being who can choose good or evil actions and make the distinction between right and wrong in the performance of his living activities, 5. Man, the Spiritual Being who desires Peace, Harmony, and Tranquility in his Living Experience, 6. Man, the Created Being who has no choice other than that of existing as an Individual with Individuality, and 7. Man, the Rational Being who accounts for the Subjective and Objective Reality of his Physical Existence in the Natural World.

A Mantra to Save Whole Man: The Mantra of Sukama Ba – Sukuma Ba- Sukuma Ba:

Whole Dude – Whole Man: The sacrifice of Issac by Father Abraham in obedience to LORD GOD’s command. The genesis of the ‘MANTRA’; “SUKUMA BA, SUKUMA BA, SUKUMA BA.” God is the True Provider of Whole Satisfaction.

This is a true story about the ‘Mantra’ called “Sukuma Ba, Sukuma Ba, Sukuma Ba” revealed by my friend Hoshea (Hebrew – Salvation).

I received a phone call while I was extremely busy and the person who called me was asking if I could provide something that was missing. I was pained that I was not able to provide the product or service that was urgently needed. I was struggling to find the right words as I wanted to give an assurance and a sense of hope that I could deliver or provide the product if I am given sufficient amount of time. My friend Hoshea, who was listening to my phone conversation, recognized my sense of agony, and the feelings of disappointment for my inability to provide what was needed by the caller. Hoshea told me that my response to the phone call was not proper. He told me the secret of providing and revealed to me the nature of the True Provider and the concept of Whole Satisfaction.

Whole Dude – Whole Man: Lord is True Provider of Whole Satisfaction.

Hoshea assured me that the LORD is the True Provider and directed me that man must always invoke the blessings of the LORD, the True Provider. I asked Hoshea as to what is the correct way to respond to such a phone call or when people ask for help which I may not be able to provide. Then Hoshea, true to his name, revealed the ‘Mantra’ that he learned from Prophet Moses. Hoshea chanted the ‘Mantra’ for my benefit: “Sukuma Ba, Sukuma Ba, Sukuma Ba.” He told me that the magical potency of this ‘Mantra’ invokes the blessings of the LORD as the LORD is the True Provider. The Lord hears the prayer, and knows the nature of the problem, and provides what is needed or a replacement to provide the Whole Satisfaction that would uplift man from his misery and plight.

I asked Hoshea to explain the meaning of the words of this ‘Mantra’ of “Sukuma Ba, Sukuma Ba, Sukuma Ba.” He narrated the story from the First Book of Moses, Genesis, the First Book of The Old Testament.

Whole Dude – Whole Man:

Whole Dude – Whole Man: The creation of man as a Whole and Complete person in God’s own image.

The First Book of Moses, Genesis describes the creation of man: “So God created man in His own image; in the image of God. He created him; male and female. He created them.” (Genesis, Chapter 1, verse 27).

Whole Dude – Whole Man: God created man in His own image and for that reason, man is a Whole Man.

Man is a perfect creation and hence the man created by God is a Whole Man which means that man is auspicious, in sound health, not diseased, not injured, not broken, not damaged, not defective, intact, containing all the elements or parts and is complete.

A Test for Whole Man’s Obedience and the Saving of Whole Man by Sukuma Ba ‘Mantra’:

Whole Dude – Whole Man: In obedience to LORD GOD’s Command, Father Abraham decided to sacrifice his only son Issac at an altar chosen by God. Issac who was fully conscious, cried loudly, “SUKUMA BA, SUKUMA BA, SUKUMA BA.” LORD GOD heard Issac’s prayer, was satisfied with Father Abraham’s obedience, sent a male sheep (RAM) to replace Issac for the ritualistic sacrifice.

The Book of Genesis, Chapter 22 describes the story of Issac, the only son of Father Abraham.

Whole Dude – Whole Man: God is the True Provider of Whole Satisfaction.

God wanted to test Abraham : “Then He said, “Take now your son, your only son Issac, whom you love, and go the Land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you.” (Genesis 22:2).

Whole Dude – Whole Man: God is True Provider of Whole Satisfaction

While Abraham and Issac proceeded to the designated place of worship, Issac spoke to his father: “But Issac spoke to Abraham his father and said, “My father!” And he said, “Here I am my son.” Then he said, “Look, the fire and the wood, but where is the lamb for a burnt offering?” (Genesis 22:7). And Abraham said, “My son, God will provide for Himself the lamb for a burnt offering.” (Genesis 22:8)

Whole Dude – Whole Man: God is the True Provider of Whole Satisfaction.

Then Abraham built an altar at the place God had told him, and Abraham placed the wood in order; and bound Issac his son and laid him on the altar, upon the wood (Genesis 22:9).

Whole Dude – Whole Man: God is the True Provider of Whole Satisfaction.

Hoshea revealed that, it was at that moment of desperation, Issac had yelled to express his sense of shock and disappointment that he had become the sacrificial Lamb chosen by LORD GOD. Issac loudly protested saying the magical words, “Sukuma Ba, Sukuma Ba, Sukuma Ba.” The ‘Mantra worked and God listened to the prayer and took action to Provide the Lamb for the burnt offering.

Whole Dude – Whole Man: God is the True Provider of Whole Satisfaction.

Then Abraham lifted his eyes and looked, and there behind him was a ram caught in a thicket by its horns.

Whole Dude – Whole Man: God is the True Provider. God Provided His Only Son as the Sacrificial Lamb and forced him to carry the burden of the Cross.

So Abraham went and took the ram, and offered it up for a burnt offering instead of his son (Genesis 22:13) and Abraham called the name of the place, “The-LORD-Will-Provide”; as it is said to this day.” (Genesis 22:14)

Whole Dude – Whole Man: God is the True Provider of Whole Satisfaction.

Whole Dude – Whole Perspectivism

WholeDude - WholeDesigner - Whole Perspectivism: Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche(1844 to 1900), German philosopher who shaped the history of 20th-century philosophy, theology, and psychology. He is considered to be the most influential philosophers who ever lived.
Whole Dude – Whole Designer – Whole Perspectivism: Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche (1844 to 1900), German philosopher who shaped the history of 20th-century philosophy, theology, and psychology. He is considered to be the most influential philosophers who ever lived.

Nietzsche is considered to be the most influential philosophers who ever lived. He is considered to be German language’s most brilliant prose writer. In the words of Sigmund Freud, “Nietzsche had a more penetrating understanding of himself than any man who ever lived or was ever likely to live.”  Apart from his critiques of traditional religion, philosophy, and morality, Nietzsche shared a concept called ‘Perspectivism’.

Whole Dude – Whole Designer – Whole Perspectivism

The word ‘perspective’ is stated as the relationship or proportion of the parts of a ‘Whole’, regarded from a particular standpoint or point in time. It describes a specific point of view in understanding or judging things or events, especially one that shows them in their true relationship to one another. Perspective requires the ability to see things in a true relationship. John Godfrey Saxe (1816-1887) provides a perspective in his famous poem “Indian Legend.”

WholeDude - WholeDesigner - Whole Perspectivism: John Godfrey Saxe in his famous poem 'Indian Legend' provides a perspective on human limitations to acquire knowledge by direct observation. It would be like that of Six Blind Men examining the Reality called Elephant using the powers of their direct observation. Each person comes to his own conclusion about the nature of Reality.
Whole Dude – Whole Designer – Whole Perspectivism: John Godfrey Saxe in his famous poem ‘Indian Legend’ provides a perspective on human limitations to acquire knowledge by direct observation. It would be like that of Six Blind Men examining the Reality called Elephant using the powers of their direct observation. Each person comes to his own conclusion about the nature of Reality.

John Godfrey Saxe describes the problem of knowing the reality using the human powers of observation and compares it to the conclusions arrived by the Six Blind Men who had examined a huge Elephant:

“It was six men of Indostan

To learning much inclined,

Who went to see the Elephant

(Though all of them were blind).

That each by observation

Might satisfy his mind.”

WholeDude - WholeDesigner - Whole Perspectivism: What is Reality? What is Illusion? What is your Perspective? In my opinion, my view, or perspective is preceded by the fact of my physical existence on the surface of planet Earth. My perspective may have to always include the reality of my relationship with planet Earth. I am blissfully unaware of the Speed of Earth's Motion. My intellectual awareness of Earth's Motion cannot overcome the Power of Illusion caused by the Fundamental Force known as Gravitation.
Whole Dude – Whole Designer – Whole Perspectivism: What is Reality? What is Illusion? What is your Perspective? In my opinion, my view, or perspective is preceded by the fact of my physical existence on the surface of fast spinning planet Earth. My perspective may have to always include the reality of my relationship with planet Earth. I am blissfully unaware of the Speed of Earth’s Motion. My intellectual awareness of Earth’s Motion cannot overcome the Power of Illusion caused by the Fundamental Force known as Gravitation.

Perspectivism is a concept which holds that knowledge is always perspectival, or knowledge demands perception of a range of information, facts, or experience. Nietzsche claims that there are no immaculate perceptions. Nietzsche will not be able to make a similar claim about the impossibility of certain kinds of perception.

Whole Dude – Whole Designer – Whole Perspectivism: Pencil in Water illusion. Can Science influence the nature of Perception? The Perception of bent Pencil is caused by the properties of Light rays. Science can only explain the reason for this Optical illusion. Science has no Power to eliminate the illusion. The only way man can experience the Reality of this Pencil would be that of changing the State of Pencil’s Conditioned Existence. It is easy to remove the Pencil from Water and experience the Reality. But, can Man remove himself from his State of Conditioned Existence and experience Reality?

I suggest that in the “Immaculate Perception” of the Whole Designer, man exists not because of his perception of reality but with the perception of illusion which protects man from knowing the reality.  In Nietzsche’s opinion, knowledge from no point of view is as incoherent a notion as seeing from no particular vantage point.

Whole Dude – Whole Designer – Whole Perspectivism: Man speaks about truth and reality without realizing that he exists for he is protected from knowing the truth and the reality of Earth’s Speed and Motions.

Nietzsche’s Perspectivism denies the possibility of an all-inclusive perspective which could contain all others. Particularly, there can be no all-inclusive perspective on reality that could make reality available as it is in itself. Nietzsche further explains his Perspectivism and concludes that the concept of such an all-inclusive perspective is as incoherent as the concept of seeing an object from every possible vantage point simultaneously. Man cannot avoid the issue of the problems of perspective and man has to reconcile with the problem caused by the absence of an all-inclusive perspective about the nature of truth and reality.

Whole Dude – Whole Designer – Whole Perspectivism: As Earth rotates from West to East, the Speed of a point on the Earth’s surface depends on its location. The rotational speed of Earth is faster at the Equator. However, it must be noted that man has no sensory perception of the speed of Earth which is in fact a blessing that safeguards human existence from a dangerous reality.

I approach the problem of human perspective from a different direction. Firstly, man’s ability called perception is always preceded by the fact of man’s existence. There is no existence without the influence called Grand Illusion that blocks aspects of man’s perception of reality. The fundamental basis of human existence on the surface of fast spinning Earth is conditioned by the experience called Grand Illusion which defends existence from the danger of reality and the consequences of experiencing the reality of Earth and the universe in which man exists.

In my opinion, it will be possible to formulate an all-inclusive perspective on illusion even while human beings have a problem to share an all-inclusive perspective on truth and reality.

Whole Dude – Whole Perspectivism: MATTER REPRESENTS GOD AS UNMANIFESTED REALITY FOR GOD’S FORM OR APPEARANCE CANNOT BE DISCERNED BY SIMPLY EXPLORING MATTER. THE LIVING THINGS ACQUIRE A HUGE DIVERSITY IN THEIR FORMS AND APPEARANCE BECAUSE OF A CREATIVE POTENCY THAT TRANSFORMS MATTER INTO LIVING FORMS. GOD CREATES AND AT THE SAME REMAINS ALIENATED FROM HIS CREATION.

I am using the term “Whole Perspectivism” to describe an all-inclusive perspective on Whole Existence  that demands both Illusion and Reality. In the final analysis, God remains aloof, distant, disinterested, disengaged, separate, and even alienated from His own artistic work that combines illusion and reality which manifests as Creation.

Whole Dude – Whole Designer – Whole Perspectivism.

Whole Dude – Whole Time

Whole Dude – Whole Time

Yes indeed! Life is complicated for we often get confused and do not know if we eat to live or live to eat. Very often, people display their ignorance by asking the question, What do you do for living?

Whole Dude – Whole Time: What do you do for your living?

Whole Dude – Whole Time – Whole Job – Whole Life

What do you do for your living? I live on Whole Food.

WHOLE DUDE WHOLE TIME: NOT PART-TIME, NOT TEMPORARY, NOT SEASONAL, AND NOT FULL-TIME. I LIVE ON WHOLE FOOD. We’re growing something good and we want you to be part of it. If you’re ready to make a difference, bring your Whole Self to Whole Foods. Whole Dude-Whole Time makes the Whole Difference.

On Tuesday, the Sixth Day of August 2019, I coined the phrase Whole Dude – Whole Time to answer the question, “What do you do for Your Living?” I live on Whole Food to do the Whole Job during my Whole Life.

In my analysis, I cannot be classified either as White-Collar, or Blue-Collar Worker. I cannot be described as Part-Time, Temporary, Seasonal, or Full-Time Employee of any entity that provides the earnings, or wages in exchange for any mental or physical work performed by my human body. To live as Whole Dude is a Whole Time Job.

Whole Dude, Whole Man, Whole Person , or Whole Self works Whole Time during his Whole Life, from the moment of his conception until his death, by performing the Whole Job described as Cellular Respiration even when he watches TV relaxing on his couch or even when he is snoring, fast asleep in his bed.

Whole Dude – Whole Time: Cellular respiration is a set of metabolic reactions and processes that take place in the cells of organisms to convert biochemical energy from nutrients into adenosine triphosphate (ATP), and then release waste products.

The Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) does not define full-time employment or part-time employment. This is a matter generally to be determined by the employer. Whether an employee is considered full-time or part-time does not change the application of the FLSA, nor does it affect the application of the Service Contract Act or Davis-Bacon and Related Acts wage and fringe benefit requirements.

I ask my readers to totally avoid the narrow perspective of your School Education while you attempt your own Self-Discovery. You should submit to God and search for the Human Identity created by God. I am not saying that you should just give up your present Identity either in terms of your language, religion, gender, culture and etc., I am asking you to step outside the “BOX.” I am not asking you to compromise your human aspirations for political rights. The Identity given by God is not bound by our nationality or citizenship status.

I ask you to learn the correct manner in which you answer the basic questions about Life and Living. What do you for your living? The answer does not require your nationality, citizenship status, your race, your gender, your educational experience, and not even your occupational history. When you recognize God as the Supreme Controller, the Supreme Sustainer, and the Supreme Maintainer of Life on planet Earth, you will find a perspective different from all other human perspectives.

What do You do for Your Living?

This blog post is dedicated to Goddess Sarasvati, the Goddess of Pure Knowledge and Perfect Wisdom. The question, “What do you do for your Living” must be answered by attaching meaning to terms such as ‘Life’, and ‘Living’ using the information provided by Science. If the human Subject called “I” is existing, it has to be accounted for by the description of work or job performed to maintain or sustain the fact of its existence.

Whole Dude – Whole Time: Living as the Whole Dude is a Whole Time Whole Job for Whole Life.

Goddess Sarasvati symbolizes the pursuit of Knowledge and Wisdom and helps me to define Life as Knowledge in Action.

Whole Job-Whole Life. What are Living Functions?

Whole Dude-Whole Time. Living as the Whole Dude is a Whole Time Whole Job for Whole Life.

Spirituality Science. What do you do for Living?

THE PROCESS, THE MECHANISM CALLED CELLULAR RESPIRATION IS NOT LEARNED OR ACQUIRED EXPERIENCE. NO SPIRITUAL TEACHER, NO SPIRITUAL MASTER, AND NO SPIRITUAL GUIDE CAN IMPLANT THIS KNOWLEDGE IN MAN.

At a fundamental level, the Living System called man is thermodynamically unstable and it means that the System demands a constant supply of energy from an external source. The process or the mechanism called ‘Cellular Respiration’ is involved in energy acquisition, energy manipulation, energy transformation, and energy expenditure involved in the performance of the numerous Living Functions that establish the fact of the Living Thing existing in its given environment at any given place and time.

Whole Dude-Whole Time. Living as the Whole Dude is a Whole Time Job for Whole Life.

THE LIVING CELL IS THERMODYNAMICALLY UNSTABLE. TO EXIST, THE LIVING CELL NEEDS CONTINUOUS SUPPLY OF MATTER AND ENERGY FROM ITS EXTERNAL ENVIRONMENT. PROTOPLASM OR CYTOPLASM USES THE POWER OF NUTRITION TO ACQUIRE MATTER AND ENERGY FROM ITS EXTERNAL ENVIRONMENT AND ENABLES THE LIVING CELL TO PERFORM A VARIETY OF LIVING FUNCTIONS CALLED METABOLISM.

The Knowledge Theory vs The Living Functions:

Whole Dude-Whole Time. Living as the Whole Dude is a Whole Time Job for Whole Life.

Spirituality Science. What do you do for Living? Many important biological processes involve Redox or Oxidation and Reduction Chemical Reactions. These chemical reactions reveal a dynamic process that is the characteristic of both Life and Death. If Life is explained by a series of chemical reactions, the same process continues into Death.

I ask my readers to carefully examine the role of Knowledge in the performance of human living functions. The man exists in the physical world, not on account of learned experience, or acquired Knowledge which he may use in the performance of actions that relate to his social occupation that provides him with earnings or income with which he caters for his physiological needs like food, water, clothing, and housing.

Man’s physical and mental work is not the ultimate basis of his existence. For example, the man has no direct sensory awareness of the numerous Redox or Oxidation and Reduction Chemical Reactions involved in the dynamic process called Life and Death.

What is Knowledge?

Whole Dude – Whole Time: Life is defined as Knowledge in Action.

Knowledge is defined as the act, fact, or state of knowing a range of information. The act of knowing requires knowledge or information relevant to a particular act. The state of knowledge describes the condition that characterizes an object in which such knowledge or information exists. If knowledge is defined as a fact of knowing some information, it describes a clear perception, or understanding, or awareness, or cognizance of information that pertains to that fact. Knowledge can only exist, can only be found in an object which has the abilities of perception, understanding, awareness, or cognition. In other words, knowledge is an attribute of the act, fact, or state of living. A living object is the seat of knowledge and the presence of knowledge could be verified or detected in any of the actions or activities of that living matter. The act of living requires a state or condition of knowing information relevant to sustaining life’s functions.

Whole Dude-Whole Time. Living as the Whole Dude is a Whole Time Job for Whole Life.

If the human brain or mind is viewed as the Seat of Knowledge, hands, and feet, or the muscles used in vocalization are the sites where Knowledge is transformed into Action. In common usage, the word knowledge is used to describe all that has been perceived or grasped by the human brain or mind. The learning, the body of facts, principles, etc., accumulated by man is stated as his knowledge. The state of knowing becomes evident only when knowledge is transformed into action. The man displays knowledge in the use of his hands and feet in the performance of his actions. Man can communicate his knowledge in his speech, in his writings, and in his use of a variety of tools, instruments, gadgets, and machines. If the human brain or mind is viewed as the seat of knowledge, hands, and feet, or the muscles used in vocalization are the sites where knowledge is transformed into action. Knowledge involves receiving/storing information at one site and using that information in the performance of action at a different site. The ability and the quality of a man’s function reflect upon his state of knowledge relative to that function. Knowledge is verified during its application to perform a function. This concept or understanding of knowledge in action could also be used in the context of describing functions at the cellular level.

Whole Dude-Whole Time. Living as the Whole Dude is a Whole Time Job for Whole Life.

The Da Vinci Telerobotic Surgical System permits the surgeon to perform an operation on a patient from a remote site. The mechanical robotic arm could perform tasks with great precision while it has no knowledge of its own. While information can be found in books, in writings, in speech/ speech recordings, and etc., it should not be described as knowledge. A robotic, mechanical arm could perform tasks with great precision while it has no knowledge of its own. Knowledge, awareness, and ability to use information exist only as an attribute of life or as an act of living.

What is Life? Life is Knowledge in Action:

Whole Dude-Whole Time. Living as the Whole Dude is a Whole Time Job for Whole Life.
Whole Dude-Whole Time. Living as the Whole Dude is a Whole Time, Whole Job for Whole Life.
Whole Dude-Whole Time. Living as the Whole Dude is a Whole Time Whole Job. for Whole Life

Whole Dude-Whole Time. Living as the Whole Dude is a Whole Time Whole Job for Whole Life.

Anatomy of Plant Cell clearly illustrates that Life exists because of the establishment of Knowledge, the source of Information for a variety of biological functions. Both Bacterial (Prokaryotic), Animal, and Plant (Eukaryotic) Cells share similar characteristics. The Living Cell functions by application of the information contained in its genetic material. Use of information to perform action describes the Knowing and it represents Knowledge in Action. Virus particles composed of Nucleic Acids either RNA or DNA within a case of Protein, in it’s Free State the Virus particle behaves like Inert matter and when it infects living cells of plants, animals, or bacteria the Virus starts replicating using the Chemical Energy and Nucleic Acid synthesizing abilities of the host Cell. The Application of Knowledge in Viral Replication is very interesting. The Structure of the Influenza Virus reveals its Functional Organization. Each function involves the application of Knowledge. This Knowledge is derived from its hereditary information. The Virus exists because of genetic material which provides it the information to perform its function that is characteristic of its existence.

What is Life? Life is Knowledge in Action. A living cell performs a variety of functions that are characteristic of its life. The Cell Structure known as Nucleus is the Seat of Knowledge. In structures known as Chromosomes it stores hereditary, and biological information for its growth, development, replication, reproduction, and metabolic functions such as protein synthesis for its growth and maintenance. Protein Synthesis takes place in structures known as Ribosomes that are located in Cytoplasm outside the Nucleus. Nucleus transfers information to Ribosomes by using Transfer RNA. Nucleus provides only information and to use that information for its function of Protein Synthesis, the Ribosome derives Energy from another Cell Structure known as Mitochondrion. This process of Cellular Function describes Knowledge in Action. Life is described as a state of an organism characterized by certain processes or abilities that include metabolism, nutrition, growth, motion, replication, reproduction, responsiveness to stimuli, and awareness of its own condition of existence or living in an environment.

Whole Dude – Whole Time: In mitochondria, many substances (food) are oxidized and ATP, the energy-storing chemical of the Cell is produced. The most important equations for living things are mutually inverse. Respiration of humans, and Cellular Respiration represents the reverse of Photosynthesis.

The act of living could be stated by describing the functions that characterize life. Functions depend upon the use of information; the information that is stored at a particular site or location is transferred to a different site or location where it is transformed into action which constitutes the nature of functioning. Life is always associated with its living functions and these functions depend upon the use of energy. If the Nucleus is viewed as the Seat of Knowledge of a Living Cell, it communicates its Knowledge to another Cell Structure known as Ribosome which is the Site of Action for the Knowledge transferred from the Nucleus. The Ribosome performs its action of Protein Synthesis drawing Energy provided by another Cell Structure known as Mitochondrion.

So also the human brain provides information and sends signals to muscles to perform actions. Muscle cells perform actions drawing Energy from Mitochondria of their Cells. This process called Living depends upon the use of Energy. If Life is a manifestation of an Energy or Life Force, Life could be defined as Knowing the Connection between ‘energy-Seeker’ (or energy-demanding molecules) and an ‘Energy-Provider’ or Source of Energy (or energy-yielding molecules).

Life and its functions are evidence of its State of Knowledge. Hence, Life could be defined as “Knowledge in Action.” Life comes into existence or into a state called Living, and Life begins with the establishment of Knowledge in an object or matter that gains the identity of a Living Organism.

Annapurna (Annapoorna, Annapurneshwari, or Annada) is the Goddess of Food and Nourishment. Hence, Annapurna is a form of Shakti, Power, Force, and Energy and is described as a special manifestation of Goddess Parvati, the consort of Lord Shiva, the Lord who sustains the creation and may eventually cause its dissolution.

The word Anna is translated as Food and Grains and the word Purna means Whole, Full, or Complete. The Sanskrit words, Anna + Purna or Food + Whole gets transformed into the phrase Whole Foods in English. Fullness comes from Fullness and Fullness remains forever Full. Just like the concept of Sunya or Zero in Mathematics, the concept of Purna or Whole belongs to Bharat, the Land of India.

Whole Dude – Whole Hymn – Whole Concept: My favorite prayer song from prayer book Prarthana Tarangini.

Several years ago,my father sent me a prayer book, Prarthana Tarangini. The book originally belonged to my mother and she signed her name on the first page and dated the copy on 1-2-89 (January 02, 1989). Apparently, she liked some prayers more than others and she check marked her favorite selections in the prayer book.I liked her choice of “Bruhi Mukundeti.”

The name Sri Krishna is received by the ears of the listener with a sense of sweetness which is described as sweet as the heavenly nectar called Amrut.

Whole Dude – Whole Hymn – Whole Concept: Nine Ways to Worship Lord God Creator

Prahlada, a great devotee of Lord Vishnu described nine ways to worship Vishnu. The acts of  Smaranam (Remembering the Lord by recalling His glorious names from memory), Kirtanam (Singing the holy names of the Lord), and  Sravanam (Listening or hearing the names of the Lord) could be combined into a single act of worship by simply repeating the various sweet names with which Lord  Krishna is known. The best thing about this prayer is that one need not ask for any grant of wishes and need not express the desires of your heart. Kuchela who had traveled to Dwaraka to meet with Krishna and seek His favors, had actually forgotten to mention the purpose of his visit and was feeling sorry on his way back home for he thought that he had missed a great opportunity to speak his mind to Krishna. Kuchela, when he eventually got back home, he was in for a big surprise. Krishna knew his problems and granted his wishes and much more even without hearing a word about it. The sweetness of the name makes it easier to carry on the burdens of life and comforts you during your journey. The sweet name cheers up your heart, brightens your mood, sooths your aching joints, and gives hope when there is nothing else you can do. Let that sweet name fulfill your unexpressed, unstated and unspoken desires of your heart.

Whole Dude – Whole Blessings for Whole Vairagya: Annapurna (Annapoorna, Annapurneshwari or Annada) is the Goddess of Food and Nourishment and hence is a form of Shakti, Power, Force, and Energy.
Whole Dude – Whole Blessings for Whole Vairagya: Annapurna is the Goddess of Food and Nourishment. She is the Sustainer of all Life

Whole Dude – Whole Blessings for Whole Vairagya: Goddess Annapurna (Anna+Purna ). The word Anna is translated as Food and Grains, and the word Purna means Whole, Full, or Complete.

The word Anna is translated as Food and Grains and the word Purna means Whole, Full, or Complete. Fullness comes from Fullness and it remains forever Full.

Whole Dude – Whole Blessings for Whole Vairagya.

Annapurna Devi symbolizes the abundant nourishment she gives to all. She is the Mother Principle and Lord Shiva symbolizes the Originating Principle or the Father Principle. She is the Mother Goddess of all Life. In the Indian Tradition the ritualistic worship of Food and the devotional offering of Food are highly praised. Food is considered sacred and prayers are offered before consuming Food.

Whole Dude – Whole Blessings for Whole Vairagya: In the Indian Tradition, Moksha or Liberation is viewed as the Ultimate Goal of Life. To attain this goal, the man invokes the Blessings of Goddess Annapurna every time before he consumes Food to sustain his mortal existence.

In the Indian Tradition, Food is considered only as a means towards Moksha or Liberation, the Ultimate Goal of human birth. The process to attain Moksha demands acquisition of Jnana or Knowledge using the path of Vairagya or Detachment. For Jnana (the awakening of spiritual knowledge about true or real Self) and Vairagya (dispassion, detachment, freedom from all other worldly desires), the seeker begs it as the alms of Grace, Mercy, and Compassion granted by Mother Annapurna.

Akshata or Akshinta, the Whole Blessings granted by Mother Annapurna:

Whole Dude – Whole Blessings for Whole Vairagya: Akshata or Akshinta are specially prepared Uncooked, and Unbroken Grains of Rice that deliver the Whole Blessings of Mother Annapurna.

Akshata is a Sanskrit word which means Whole. Akshata or Akshinta refers to the Unbroken and Uncooked Rice Grains offered to the deity during worship and other religious ceremonies to invoke the Whole Blessings of Mother Annapurna, the Sustainer of Life. Akshata are often sprinkled over the heads of the seekers of Whole Blessings of Life with prosperity, fertility, and bounty. Akshata are used in all auspicious occasions such as the performance of marriage ceremonies.

The Whole Concept of Whole Vairagya:

Whole Dude – Whole Blessings for Whole Vairagya

Vairagya is a Sanskrit word that translates to detachment or dispassion. In Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras (1:15), the essence of Vairagya is described as: Dispassion, the conscious mastery of the control of desire for objects seen, perceived, or heard. King-Sage Bhartrihari composed 100 verses popularly known as Vairagya Satakam.

The goal of renunciation and non-attachment to life is not attained by avoiding the consumption of food which sustains the mortal existence. In fact, food is the spiritual medium that provides the connection between the energy dependent man and his energy provider. The chemical energy required for the performance of all living functions involves the act of cellular respiration.

Whole Dude – Whole Blessings for Whole Vairagya: Cellular respiration is a set of metabolic reactions and processes that take place in the cells of organisms to convert biochemical energy from nutrients into adenosine triphosphate (ATP), and then release waste products.

Man is a created being and is constituted as a Spiritual Being. The Spiritual Knowledge required to establish, to maintain, and to sustain the human existence is implanted in the living, corporeal substance of the man and it cannot be acquired or learned from any external source. At a fundamental level the existence of man is not related to the physical and mental work performed by man. It is true that man must satisfy the sensations of hunger and thirst by performing actions to gather and consume food and drink but its transformation into a new form of chemical energy which alone sustains life does not depend upon any external source of Knowledge.

I ask my readers to carefully review the concept of Knowledge acquired through the Learning Experience for the attainment of Vairagya.

Whole Dude – Whole Blessings for Whole vairagya: There are four major qualities/strengths one has to develop, in order to reach the Self, and attain freedom and permanent happiness in this world we live in Today. 1. Discrimination (Viveka) 2. Dispassion(Vairagya ) 3. Desire to be Free and Desire for the Highest. (Mumukshatva) Continued—–
Whole Dude – Whole Blessings for Whole Vairagya: 4th Pillar consists of Six Wealths/Strengths or Qualities : Shama (Control over mind) Dama (Control over senses) Titiksha (Endurance and forebearing) Uparati (Rejoicing in your own nature) Shraddha (Faith) Samadhana (Being at ease)
Whole Dude – Whole Blessings for Whole Vairagya: What is Viveka? Whatever you consider as stationary or solid is neither stationary nor solid. Discriminating between that which is not changing, and everything else which is ever changing is Viveka . Understanding that everything is changing would reduce 99% of the misery in this world. The Spiritual nature of the living substance does not change under the influence of time.
Whole Dude – Whole Blessings for Whole Vairagya: What is Vairagya? Vairagya means Becoming at Ease with What Is. An attitude of So what! Let it be, whatever takes away the feverishness in you and brings you to that pillar of dispassion. Dispassion towards the enjoyments of the five sense or the spiritual enjoyment, towards the seen and the unseen, the outer world or the inner world. Man who views Food as the source of Spiritual Energy will not get attached to Food he consumes.
Whole Dude – Whole Blessings for Whole Vairagya: The existence of Man in the terrestrial domain is always conditioned and man is not born free. The desire for deliverance from the dependent, conditioned existence is experienced if and only if man retains the spiritual connection that maintains the vital, living function called Cellular Respiration.
Whole Dude – Whole Blessings for Whole Vairagya. The Six virtues come into play if and only if the man keeps his physical, mortal existence performing the function of cellular respiration using spiritual knowledge implanted in the living substance of Life.
Whole Dude – Whole Blessings for Whole Vairagya. Self-Control, Self-Restraint, Self-Discipline to restrain the mind depend upon the man’s ability to perform the vital, living function called Cellular Respiration.
Whole Dude – Whole Blessings for Whole Vairagya: The Practice or Abhyas will be made possible if man is attached to Food to create the chemical energy required to sustain the vital, living functions such as respiration and circulation.

The concept of Whole Vairagya is based upon the following propositions:

  1. Existence (What You Do – the performance of vital, living function called Cellular Respiration) always precedes Essence (What You Are in terms of your acquired Knowledge, Learned Experience, and through your physical, and mental effort or Practice or Abhyas.
  2. Man is a Created Being and is constituted as a Spiritual Being. The Spiritual Knowledge is innate, and is implanted in the Living Substance which performsSpiritual Functions such as Consciousness, and Nutrition for it is aware of its own energy-dependent existence in its given external environment.
  3. Spiritual Knowledge is not acquired through man’s physical or mental work. However, man can discover his own true or real Spiritual nature with the help of the Learning Experience.
  4. The Lord God Creator is present in His entire creation but He remains detached, aloof, disinterested, and may even seem to be estranged from His own creation. But, man is not free and is always trapped by the shackles of conditioned, dependent, earthly existence.
  5. The earthly, mortal, transient, ephemeral, and physical existence of man at any stage of his existence, in good health or ill health depends upon the Unconditioned Love of God who delivers the Whole Blessings of Mercy, Grace, and Compassion even if man is ignorant and is not aware of God’s existence. And,
  6. The man who realizes that he has no deliverance, no liberation, and that there is no release from his bonding, his attachment, his yoking, his partnership, his association, and his spiritual connection with Lord God Creator attains Whole Vairagya or gets detached from the things that derive their existence from attachment to the World.
