I am posting this article to make an open appeal to all the members of the US Congress to pass a decree or law to commence a new tradition in the national life that celebrates the proclamation of the Love Commandments by Jesus on the last Wednesday of July. I ask Americans to recognize the central role of love in developing wholesome human relationships.

Love is central to the man’s relationship to God and the man’s relations with other persons. Love has to be known as “The Medium” that generates the attachment or devotion to another person; and this attachment implies connection by ties of affection, sexual attraction, devotion, friendship, goodwill, compassion, respect, trust, and commitment. This kind of care and concern for a person, or persons in a relationship could be called ‘Whole Love’ if whatever is done for Love occurs beyond good and evil.

The word “Love” does not appear in the Torah (Law) given to the Jews at Mount Sinai. I conducted a study of the holiday traditions of the US and I am totally surprised to note that there is no traditional celebration of the Proclamation of the two Great Love Commandments of Jesus. Jewish Holiday “Shavuot” celebrates the giving of the ‘Torah’ (the Law or Instruction) to the Jews. God gave the Ten Commandments (The Decalogue, The Code of The Ten Words)on the sixth night of the Hebrew month of ‘Sivan’. Shavuot always falls 50 days (Pentecost) after the second night of Passover. The 49 days between Passover and Shavuot are known as ‘Omer’. While retaining the essence of The Code of The Ten Words Jesus changed the Operating Principle of the Torah or The Law. Jesus instructs that the Law must be followed by His believers not through the use of force or authority but by simply embracing the equally powerful influence called “Love.”

The concept of Holiday begins with the story of creation as revealed in the Book of Genesis and it involves the observance of a ‘Holy Day’. “And God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it He rested from all the work of creating that He had done (Genesis, Chapter 2, verse.3).”

Holiday is a day of freedom from labor sanctioned by God, and it is set aside for leisure and recreation to renew man’s relationship with his Creator. In Civil Society, certain days are set aside by Law or Custom and Traditions for the suspension of official business activities and very often in commemoration of some important events in national life. I am using the term ‘Whole Holiday’ to recognize a specific day that is set aside by Human Law in recognition of the Divine Law that is conducive to the development of harmonious, or wholesome interpersonal relationships that are essential to promote the health, and well-being of all people. In the US, there are several holidays that are legal and none of them directly address the central issue of developing Love relationships.

The Christmas tradition is about the Joy that is associated with the birth of baby Jesus and the exchange of gifts to express the sense of happiness. Christmas holiday is not in remembrance of God’s Law. Jesus Christ has established Love as the God’s Greatest Commandment.

The Gospel according to Apostle Matthew (Chapter 22: 37-40), and The Gospel according to Apostle Mark (Chapter 12: 28-31) describe the Commandments of Love: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. This is the first great commandment. The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these. All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two Commandments.” The Gospel according to Apostle John, Chapter 13, verse. 34 describes the need for neighborly relations among people based upon Love: “A new command I give you: Love one another, as I have loved you, so you must love one another.”

In the United States, we have no Law, or a cultural tradition to commemorate the event in which Jesus Christ has issued the two great commandments asking people to observe the Law of ‘Whole Love’ which demands, 1. The Love of God with Whole Body, Heart, Mind, and Soul, and 2. The Love of Neighbor as a requirement of God’s Law for man. After my ‘Whole Discovery’, the discovery of the experience of Whole Love at Whole Foods Market, Ann Arbor, Michigan on Wednesday, July 30, 2014, I decided to promote the establishment of a ‘Whole Tradition’ to follow the Spirit of the Whole Law to truly observe the Commandment of Whole Love. To commemorate my Whole Discovery, I am writing this appeal to ask all the members of the US Congress to approve a new Law to observe the last Wednesday of July as the Whole Love Holiday. The choice of Wednesday is very appropriate as most other legal holidays are observed on Mondays as a matter of convenience and not for the purposes of obedience to a Divine Law which should be the source and inspiration for the Human Law.

The concept of Whole Love represents the Whole Law that is explicitly pronounced by Jesus Christ as the only Commandment that the man must follow and observe in his lifetime. To acknowledge the ‘Whole Law’, to celebrate its pronouncement, we need a new ‘Whole Tradition’ by instituting a new ‘Whole Holiday’.

The Celebration of USA 250 – America 250 – The Call for Whole Freedom For Whole People

The statement “The story of America makes everyone free” encapsulates the nation’s founding ideals of liberty and equality, most notably marked during the Freedom 250 celebrations for the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.

America’s 250th birthday, marking the semiquincentennial of the Declaration of Independence, culminates on July 4, 2026. The milestone is being marked by two parallel, competing planning organizations: the bipartisan congressional commission America250, and the Trump-aligned public-private initiative Freedom 250, featuring highly partisan events across the country.

The statement “The story of America makes everyone free” encapsulates the nation’s founding ideals of liberty and equality, most notably marked during the Freedom 250 celebrations for the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.

However, this concept is viewed in different ways:

The Vision of Universal Liberty: Many interpret the American story as a beacon of liberty. Proponents emphasize that the Declaration of Independence set a revolutionary precedent for human rights and self-government, establishing a framework that has been a driving force for freedom worldwide.

An Unfinished Struggle: Historians, civil rights advocates, and critics point out that the founding ideals did not immediately make everyone free, as they initially coexisted with the enslavement of millions, the displacement of Indigenous peoples, and restricted voting rights. They view the American story not as a finished reality, but as a continuous, often difficult struggle by generations of Americans to force the country to live up to its promise of equality.

Where is my Freedom? Free Will vs Predestination

Fourth of July is observed as the US Independence Day. This celebration calls for a study on the problem of Freedom in World, and the problem of Freedom in the individualistic human experience.

In my individualistic human experience, freedom is a myth, or an illusion. In my view, I find myself as a man who is fundamentally trapped inside the belly of a great fish prepared by God.

***Fourth of July, 2026 Celebration, America 250-USA 250. Jonah’s Plight inside the belly of a Big Fish.***

The biblical prophet Jonah represents the reality of my life’s journey. God has foreknowledge of my thoughts and actions and has prepared the place for my entrapment without giving me any further access to seek the freedom of movement. Just like Jonah, I am surprised to find myself alive in the body of a fish. Just like Jonah, I give thanks to God for keeping me alive. However, I do not share the hope and confidence of Jonah about the ultimate deliverance. Jonah fervently prayed and the fish vomited him onto the dry land after holding him captive for three days and three nights.

I do not pray for my freedom as I am not born free. The big fish values its own freedom of movement and declares itself to be the champion of freedom without any concern for the lack of my individualistic freedom and personal liberty. I may share Jonah’s sense of self-pride, self-centered egotism, without proper respect for God or love for my enemies. I want God to account for His own actions while I taste the bitter fruits borne out of my own actions.

India is my country of origin. I left India in January 1984 due to a concern about my freedom posed by threats emanating from my service rendered to an external intelligence agency in coordination with India’s external intelligence agency known as Research and Analysis Wing (R&AW); this has driven me to resign my job in the Indian Army Medical Corps.

SPECIAL FRONTIER FORCE: CENTRAL INTELLIGENCE AGENCY BEGAN ITS OPERATIONS IN TIBET DURING THE PRESIDENCY OF DWIGHT DAVID EISENHOWER AND VICE PRESIDENT RICHARD M NIXON, WAS FULLY AWARE OF THE TIBETAN RESISTANCE MOVEMENT TO FIGHT CHINA’S OCCUPATION OF TIBET.

I reached the United States during July 1986 to eventually experience that I have lost all freedom; I gave up freedom associated with my Indian citizenship and found that my existence is not dependent upon freedom but upon Divine Providence and Sovereign Grace.

Do I have a choice? Is freedom an entitlement? Is there freedom in Free World? Is Freedom self-determined or is it determined by external causes?

The word ‘freedom’ has many meanings – theological, metaphysical, psychological, moral, natural, and civil. Freedom may mean enjoyment of personal liberty, of not being a slave, nor a prisoner, and it speaks about the freedom in acting and choosing. Freedom may imply the state of not being subject to determining forces.

I arrived in the United States for I believe in the Motto of this Nation: “In God We Trust.” The New Testament Book, The Epistle of Apostle Paul to Ephesians, Chapter 2:19 speaks of my quest for freedom: “Consequently, you are no longer Foreigners and Aliens, but fellow citizens with God’s people and members of God’s household.”

I seek freedom to enter God’s household for I am not a foreigner, or alien. There is a promise in The New Testament Book, The Epistle of Apostle Paul to Romans, Chapter 9:25: As He says in Hosea: “I will call them ‘my people’ who are not my people;”

“Free World” is a Cold War era term often used by the US to describe those countries that are not in the sphere of influence of Communist States like the Soviet Union, or the People’s Republic of China. United States is the Leader of the Free World, and it is the world’s Democratic Superpower.

In response to Communist China’s military occupation of sovereign nation of Tibet, the United States, to defend its own national interests and to combat the threat of Communist Expansionism, during the presidency of Truman and Eisenhower initiated programs in 1950s to render assistance to the Tibetan Resistance Movement to uphold the principles of Freedom and Democracy in the Land of Tibet. John F. Kennedy, the 35th President of the United States (1961-1963) created a military alliance/pact between the US, India, and Tibet to contain the military threat posed by Communist China.

On completion of my military training, I joined the US, India, Tibet military alliance/pact and was posted to Headquarters Establishment No. 22, a military organization also known to public as Vikas Regiment and Special Frontier Force.

In September 1969, I made a deliberate choice to serve in the Indian Army Medical Corps to face the military challenge and threat posed by China after her brutal attack on India across the Himalayan frontier in 1962. On completion of my military training, I joined the US, India, Tibet military alliance/pact and was posted to Headquarters Establishment No. 22, a military organization also known to public as Vikas Regiment and Special Frontier Force. I view myself as very passionate defender of Freedom and Democracy. During the years spent in India, in my imagination, I had freedom to choose and act and deliberately expressed this sense of personal freedom when I got married in January 1973. This personal choice had its own consequences. It initiated a process of alienation and estrangement from my birth-related social community. The first blow to my sense of social identity and birth affiliation was delivered in May 1976 while I was at the Armed Forces Medical College, Pune. By year 1982, I fully recognized that I have no freedom to choose, or act without compromising my sense of self-respect, and self-dignity. For all practical purposes, in my estimate, I was transformed into a Foreigner or Alien while I was still serving my country as a Commissioned Officer of its Armed Forces. It undermined my ability to serve in the Armed Forces to defend Freedom of the Country while in my perception I existed as Foreigner or Alien. At that time, as the father of two young children, I felt that I have no choice other than that of leaving India to find a place in another part of Free World, a place prepared for me by God. Having stepped inside of the mouth of a big fish, I got easily swallowed by the force of the external circumstances. Now, I am conscious of the lack of freedom to make choices, or I may state that I am only free to make a choice that is foreordained or predetermined.

In the drama of human life and history, do we have capacity to choose our Life according to our Free Will? The issue of human freedom, and Freedom in World may have to be reconciled with God’s omniscience, and omnipotence. We must understand as to what extent the will of an individual can and does determine some of his acts. If man is entirely dependent upon God’s power, can man make bad, or evil choices? Do we need divine grace for both meritorious, and even terrible acts? How to define the problem of the universal supposition of responsibility for personal actions? Can there be Freedom in the absence of Divine Providence, and Sovereign Grace?

Determinism and Free Will:

The kid in the above photo image apparently has free will and can choose to get wet in the rain. He can also choose to remain under some shade and keep dry. This ability to choose is operated by an external contingency called rain. Does man have the natural ability to make choices in the face of all types of external contingencies? Plato held that actions are determined by the extent of a person’s understanding, or reasoning. The New Testament Book, The Epistle of Apostle Paul to Romans, Chapter 8, verses 28-30 describe the concept of “Predestination.” Verse. 30 reads: “Moreover, those He predestined, them He also called; those He called, them He also Justified; those He justified, them He also glorified.” I live in expectation of finding this ‘glory’ in the eyes of God.

The term free will refers to the power or capacity to choose among alternatives. It refers to the ability to act in certain situations independently of natural, social, or divine restraints. Will is the factor which turns human thought into human action and behavior. Existentialist thinkers like Jean Paul Sartre speak about the concept of a radical, perpetual, and frequently agonizing freedom of choice. Sartre claims that man is “condemned to be free” even though his situation may be wholly determined. Behavioral psychologists hold the view that human action and behavior is determined by the nature of an external environmental stimulus. Sigmund Freud held the view that human actions are determined by hidden mental causes which control their actions; “You have an illusion of a psychic freedom within you which you do not want to give up.” Freud recommends that this “deeply rooted belief in psychic freedom and choice” must be given up because it “is quite unscientific.” Man appears to be subject to the Law of Cause and Necessity or is governed by a doctrine of Determinism.

The Doctrine of Predestination

Saint Augustine (354-430), Doctor of the Church, founder of Christian theology followed the doctrine of predestination or divine grace that states God’s superintendence of the Whole Cosmos and everything in it.

Martin Luther (November 10, 1483, to February 18, 1546), German theologian, leader of the Protestant Reformation held the view that everything is determined by God from the beginning.

John Calvin (1509 – 1564), French Protestant theologian of the Reformation held the view that human free will is predetermined. While rejecting the role of free will, Calvinism maintains that God’s grace is irresistible.

Saint Thomas Aquinas held the view that God’s omnipotence does not include predetermination of human will. The Roman Catholic Church teaches that predestination is consistent with free will since God moves the soul according to its nature. Do I make my own choices while God foreordained my circumstances? Does God have foreknowledge of my reaction to His Choice? If God foreordained the circumstances, the choices, and the destiny of the person according to His Perfect Will, how to explain the exercise of free will? It appears to me that God may elect or predestinate the circumstances of a person and make a choice on His own initiative based on His knowing in advance the reactions of the person to His Will. Man’s free will is like the game of chess; man can make his moves while playing the game according to God’s plan while God is the second Player with whom man must contend.

The Hindu Temple, Malibu, Southern California. Is this the Temple in which I am destined to worship the LORD GOD? The New Testament Book, The Epistle of Apostle Paul to Ephesians, Chapter 2:21 reads: “In Him the Whole building is joined together and rises to become a Holy Temple in the LORD.” Why does this Temple in Malibu treats me as a Foreigner and Alien providing an external contingency that took away my Freedom?

I am a refugee and who is my refuge?

On Friday, May 01, 2026, I am searching for possibilities within, not contrary to God’s Will. For I give shelter to the Living Tibetan Spirits in my consciousness, I exist as a slave in a free country. I consciously experience the problem of occupation, the lack of independent existence.

Buddha Purnima, is an auspicious day that marks the birth anniversary of Gautam Buddha, the founder of Buddhism. It is believed that this was also the day he attained enlightenment. Buddha Purnima falls on a full moon night, usually between April and May. This year it will be observed on Friday, May 01. Also known as Buddha Jayanti or Vaisakhi Buddha Purnima or Vesak.

Buddha Purnima is based on the Asian lunisolar calendar. It is celebrated with great fervour in India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan, Tibet and numerous other South East Asian countries including Thailand, China, Korea, Laos, Vietnam, Mongolia, Cambodia and Indonesia.

What is the difference between refuge and refugee?

As nouns the difference between refuge and refugee is that refuge being a state of safety, protection or shelter while refugee is a person seeking refuge in a foreign country out of fear of political persecution or the prospect of such persecution in his home country, i.e., a person seeking a political asylum. Some persons who need safety, protection or shelter may live in a foreign country without applying for political asylum.

My Musings on Buddha Purnima. I am a Refugee. Who is my Refuge?

On May 24, 1956, I was in Mylapore, Madras, Chennai, India. I went to the Indian Posts & Telegraphs Office on Kutchery Street to buy the First Day Cover issued in celebration of 2500th Buddha Jayanti.

On May 24, 1956, I was not aware that I would fail to see the brightness of the Full Moon on Friday, May 01, 2026. I see darkness. I see gloom. I learned the art of controlling my mind. I learned the art of self-discipline. Yet, I do not experience freedom while living in a free country.

My Life’s Journey began in Mylapore, Madras, Chennai, India. Amongst other places, my Service in the Indian Army Medical Corps took me to Establishment-22 at Chakrata, Dehradun District, Uttarakhand on September 22, 1971. After successful execution of a military operation in the Chittagong Hill Tracts during October 1971 to January 1972, I was posted Delta Sector of Vikas Regiment. I performed this Journey in a transport plane shared by the US and landed in a US built airfield in Doom Dooma, Tinsukia District, Assam, India during February 1972 prior to the US President Richard M Nixon’s visit to Peking.

While I was serving in D Sector, Establishment-22 in Doom Dooma, I got married in January 1973. I served in Vikas Regiment during the presidency of Richard Nixon and Gerald Ford.

Eventually, I arrived in Ann Arbor, Michigan in 1986 without knowing that the US President Gerald Ford lived in Ann Arbor as a student. It’s not the end of the story. It’s the beginning of my journey as a slave in a free country.

I find myself living and surviving inside the belly of a Big Fish or a Great Whale. Prophet Jonah survived his ordeal just for three days and three nights. The Son of Man remained in the heart of the earth just for three days, and three nights. For me the end is not in sight for I am living under a very dark shadow, inside the belly of a Big Fish or a Great Whale without the hope of seeing light at the end of the tunnel.

The Paths of Surrender to find Refuge

In my analysis, I am a person in need of Refuge, Shelter, or Protection. I performed my Life Journey under shadow, the darkness of secrecy seeking a false sense of security. I need to break the shackles of secrecy to declare that I am a Refugee. As I am trapped, I can’t go to the Buddha for refuge, I can’t go the Dhamma for refuge, and I can’t go the Sangha for refuge. Who is my Refuge? To Whom, I should address my Petition? If I have no refuge, I ask God to take this cup of agony from me.

On Friday, May 01, 2026, I am searching for possibilities within, not contrary to God’s Will. If I have no refuge, I ask God to take this cup away from me. Jesus chooses to Surrender to the Soldiers of King Herod, and Buddha teaches Surrender to Buddha, Dharma and to Sangha. To find Freedom from the trappings of my life, just like Jonah, I may have to travel to my Enemy’s Kingdom

Buddha Purnima : Significance of Buddha’s Teachings

Buddha Purnima or Buddha Jayanti is celebrated with great enthusiasm among the Buddhist community as it is one of their most important and sacred festivals. The festival also known as Vesak as it is observed on a full moon in the month Vaisakha, marks the birth of Buddha, the day of his enlightenment as well as the day he entered nirvana and left his human body form.

This year, Buddha Purnima falls on May 01, which is a Friday.

However, it should be noted that different Buddhist communities may celebrate Buddha Purnima on different dates provided there are two full moons in the month of May.

The significance of this day can be understood by the events it upholds. Legend has it that Buddha’s wife Yashodhara, his first disciple Ananda and the Bodhi tree, the holy place under which Buddha attained enlightenment were all born or created on this very day. It is also believed that on this day Gautam Buddha chose to preach his first sermon in Varanasi or Banaras in India.

By the evidence found in history, Gautam Buddha was born between sixth and fourth century BCE.

Buddha was a firm believer of Karuna (meaning compassion) and Ahimsa (meaning non-violence). He spent his life searching for peace and truth. He believed that the material pleasures held little significance in life, and dedicated his life to spirituality and religion.

Since Buddha was born in a Hindu family, the festival holds a lot of significance for the Hindu community. In Hinduism, Lord Buddha is believed to be the ninth avatar of Lord Vishnu. Therefore, Buddha Purnima is an auspicious day for devotees of Lord Vishnu and is observed with full fervor in India.

Buddha Purnima has a lot of astrological significance as well. Buddha was born with Cancer Ascendant and Moon in Libra, and with the Sun positioned in the mighty Mars. In His Horoscope, the Moon is also aspected by five planets-Sun, Jupiter, Venus, Mars, and Saturn, and these made Him mentally strong.

In Buddhism, it is believed that for you to be able to enjoy good health, bring happiness to your family, and enjoy peace in life, you must first master control over your mind. In Hinduism, devotees of Lord Ganesh practice a similar belief; that by gaining control over one’s mind, one can find the way to enlightenment. Astrologers believe that to gain control of your mind, you should strengthen the Moon in your horoscope.

How to Celebrate Buddha Purnima

If you want to achieve mental peace and bliss this Vesak, you should follow Buddha’s “Eightfold path”. It is the only true way to celebrate the festival.

According to Buddha, the Eightfold path included-

Having the Right View or Understanding, by knowing the truth,

Having the Right Intention, by freeing your mind of bad thoughts,

Having the Right Speech, which does not hurt others,

Having the Right Action, by working for the good of others,

The Slave in Free Nation Prays for The Blessings of Whole Patience on Good Friday

Good Friday is the Friday before Easter Sunday. It is observed in commemoration of the crucifixion of Jesus. Friday, April 03, 2026, is observed as Good Friday. I am praying to the Son of Man, a native of Nazareth, Galilee, to know, to understand the quality, the ability, and the fact of Patience. I am using the phrase “Whole Patience” for Jesus clearly demonstrates His other supernatural abilities. Jesus has several options if He chose not to wait, not to tolerate, not to succumb, and not to experience the horrors of pain and humiliation imposed on Good Friday. Today, the Slave is beholding the Son of Man to learn the Art of Patience. I am “alien” for I have not yet entered the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth.

Good Friday is of very special interest to man for it reveals God’s costly plan for the redemption of man. The word redemption means to release, or freedom from payment of a price and man’s freedom or deliverance, or liberation involving the greatest possible depth of suffering. The price paying concept lies at the heart of redemption and hence it is a costly action. For man is a “SLAVE” to sin, to set him free, a ransom-price is paid. “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.” (Mark 10:45) The emphasis is on the giving of Life as a ransom. Good Friday is a completed act for Jesus paid the ransom-price. Jesus performed this action with Whole Patience. It is immaterial as to whom Christ paid this price. For man, the only concern is to experience the results of this full redemption by receiving God’s grace and mercy through Christ and His Love. On Good Friday, Jesus had gone through the whole of human experience including the worst horrors of pain and humiliation.

Endurance is the ability to stand pain, distress, and fatigue; it is the ability to resist and withstand suffering and hardship with fortitude and patience.

Endurance speaks of the ability to hold up under pain, to tolerate, to put up with, to bear pain without flinching. It is the will, ability, quality, or fact of waiting without complaint. It demands steadiness, perseverance, self-control, resoluteness in the face of grave provocation. This ability to bear suffering results from firm sustained courage and it is a mistake to interpret endurance as cowardice. Jesus remained calm and unperturbed while people angrily shouted demanding his crucifixion.

On Good Friday, the Son of Man was a picture of Stoicism displaying grit, and courage that refuses to succumb under any circumstances, courage that involves utmost indifference to personal pain and suffering.

On Good Friday, Jesus was repeatedly taunted, mocked, and ridiculed by people, by criminals, by officials, by soldiers, by the high priest, King Herod, and Roman Governor Pontius Pilate. The ultimate act of indignity was that of calling Him, “The King of The Jews” showing utter contempt for His failure to save His own life and get away from the Cross on which He was nailed.

On Good Friday, Jesus did not rebuke the people who offended and punished Him. Jesus did not express any desire to retaliate against them and did not express any thoughts or feelings of Self-Pity. Jesus after His crucifixion said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.”(Luke 23:34)

There is no easy cure, and there is no easy remedy for man’s problems. Man’s problem is that of alienation or estrangement from his own true or real nature that God implanted in man while making man in His own image. Man lives as an ‘alien’ for man has lost his connection with his own LORD God Creator. The divine nature of the Son of Man becomes self-evident when man learns the Art of Patience and Endurance. I ask my readers to ‘Behold The Man’ and see His Patience, Fortitude, Forbearance, Perseverance, Calmness, Steadiness, Strength, Self-Control, and His resolute Endurance.

Welcome to the Celebration of Palm Sunday on March 29, 2026. This Septuagenarian celebrates the Septuagint Prophecy on Palm Sunday for Jesus fulfills Prophecy revealed by The Old Testament Prophet Zechariah. As the saying goes, every donkey has his day. Palm Sunday According to the Whole Gospel: The Gospel According to Saint Matthew is the First Book of The New Testament. Its historical account of Jesus’ Triumphal Entry into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday differs from the other three Gospels. The Gospel Story that I am sharing describes vision of the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.

The Gospel According to Saint Matthew:

The Gospel of Matthew was written in Greek language; is the most highly valued, most popular, and widely read of the four Gospels. This is revealed not only by its position in the canon, it is found in first place in most of the known lists of the Gospels but also by the fact of its widespread citation and for it is by far the most often quoted Gospel. Matthew, the Apostle (The Book of Matthew, Chapter 10, verse 3) was eyewitness to the most significant events of Christ’s life and mission. Matthew (Greek. Maththaios) was initially known as Levi, a tax collector (telones) whom Jesus met at the tax office (Matthew, Chapter 9, verse 9). Levi changed his name to Matthew (Hebrew. “Gift of Yahweh”) and it may mean “Amittai” or “True”, when he became a disciple of Jesus. He carefully recorded all the teachings and sayings of Jesus and the Book of Matthew is the teaching Gospel par excellence. Matthew’s Gospel is also the Gospel of fulfillment and it is especially concerned with showing that Christ is fulfillment of the Revelations of The Old Testament. Matthew’s Gospel is the historical record of Jesus Christ, the King of Jews. It describes the birth of the King, preparation of the King, the Law of the Kingdom, the power of the King, the Proclamation of the Kingdom, the rejection of the King, the growth of the Kingdom, the Mission of the King, the Fellowship of the Kingdom, the Triumphal entry of King into Jerusalem, the Consummation of the Kingdom, the Death and Resurrection of the King, and finally the great challenge of the Kingdom. I focus on the most important event of Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem as a King in a ceremonial procession.

Simon Cyrene, the Bearer of the Cross, Lives the Life of a Donkey:

Cross (Greek. Stauros): There are three biblical uses of the term: first, the wooden instrument of torture; second, the Cross as a symbolic representation of redemption; third, death on the Cross, i.e., Crucifixion. The English word ‘Cross’ is derived from the Latin ‘Crux’. The Cross existed in different forms, the most important form is known as ‘The Crux immissa’, the type of Cross usually presented in Art in which the upright beam extends above the cross beam, and traditionally this depiction of Cross is held to be the Cross on which the ‘Redeemer’ suffered and died. It is often called the ‘Latin form of Cross. Because of the sacrificial death of the Savior on the Cross, it is presented as the medium of Reconciliation (The Epistle of Apostle Paul to Ephesians, Chapter 2, verse 16) between man and God. In The Epistle of Apostle Paul to the Colossians, Chapter 1, verse 20, states that Peace is effected through the Cross and Chapter 2, verse 14 also claims that the penalties of the law are removed from the believer by the Cross.

The Epistle of Apostle Paul to the Galatians, Chapter 2, verse 20 says that man is crucified with Christ and lives by faith of the Son of God. Crucifixion is a dreaded event, and in common usage, the cares and troubles of life are often compared to a Cross. Kindly examine the connection between Cross and the humble Donkey which man uses as a beast of burden.

Palm Sunday According to the Whole Gospel: The ‘Cross’ is a symbolic representation of redemption, it describes the act known as Crucifixion or death on the Cross on which the Redeemer suffered and died. Donkey, Equus africanus asinus has a dark stripe from the mane back to onto the tail and a prominent crosswise stripe across the shoulders.
Donkeys are domesticated descendants from African ass (true ass) known as Equus asinus which belongs to the Horse family of Equidae. Donkeys derived from Nubian and Somalian subspecies of African wild ass have served mankind since 4,000 B.C. It is tamed and trained for work. It is sturdy, surefooted, known for its endurance and for its ability to carry heavy loads. Donkeys were a fundamental part of economy, they undertook heavy work on the farm and sometimes used for personal transportation. In the southwestern United States, the small donkey is known as ‘Burro’, the word for donkey in Spanish language. Many Americans are very fond of eating ‘burrito’, a Mexican dish consisting of a flour tortilla wrapped around a filling of meat, cheese, refried beans, etc. However, most Americans are not familiar with the crosswise stripes on Donkey’s back that could be termed as ‘Donkey Cross’. Donkey is frequently mentioned in the Books of Bible; Prophet Abraham’s journey of testing, with his son Isaac, was made with a donkey (The First Book of Moses, Genesis, Chapter 22, verses 3,5), Balaam’s donkey was given the temporary power of speech in order to rebuke the foolish prophet (The Fourth Book of Moses, Numbers, Chapter 22, verses 21-33), Israelites captured some 61,000 donkeys from the Midianites (The Fourth Book of Moses, Numbers, Chapter 31, verse 34). Mule is the offspring of a male donkey and a horse mare and it is sterile. King David introduced the use of mule for riding. In the Biblical times, mules were used by kings, officials, and army officers for personal transportation. Jesus Christ, the one coequal with God descended to agony and torture of death due to Crucifixion by riding on the back of a donkey to fulfill the prophecy of Zechariah 9:9

“Tell the daughter of Zion,
‘Behold, your King is coming to you.
Lowly, and sitting on a donkey,
A colt, the foal of a donkey.”

It is very interesting and important to note the difference in narration of this event.

In the Gospel of Matthew, Chapter 21, verse 2, Jesus instructs two of his disciples, “Go into the village opposite you, and immediately you will find a (female) donkey tied, and a colt (young, male donkey) with her. Loose them and bring them to Me.”

In the Gospel According to Mark, Chapter 11, verse 2, in the Gospel According to Luke, Chapter 19, verse 30, and in the Gospel According to John, Chapter 12, verse 14, no mention was made about the female donkey which was needed by Jesus and fetched by His disciples. Many Biblical scholars are not able to explain this apparent discrepancy in the four Gospel accounts and they are not certain if one or two donkeys are involved and the gender identity of the donkey(s) that Jesus used for His victorious entry into Jerusalem. The four Gospel accounts are incomplete and have not revealed the Whole Story of the Donkey and the Donkey Cross.

The spiritual leader of Tibetan Buddhism fled Lhasa during the 1959 uprising. Beijing considers him a “wolf in sheep’s clothing”. Like Xi Jinping, Donald Trump never asked to meet him.

Dharamshala (AsiaNews/Agencies) – “The Tibetan people have trust in me, they ask me [to] come to Tibet,” said the Dalai Lama in an interview with the BBC.

Speaking with the journalist, the spiritual leader of Tibetan Buddhism talked about his desire to return to Lhasa before he dies. He was forced to abandon the Potala Palace (his official residence) during the Tibetan uprising against Chinese military rule in 1959.

Since then, Tenzin Gyatso, the 14th Dalai Lama, has found refuge in Dharamshala (India) along with another 10,000 Tibetan Buddhists who live their Himalayan exile in Arunachal Pradesh.

In the interview the Dalai Lama describes India, the country that welcomed him, his “spiritual home”. Grateful for the hospitality he received, he notes that one advantage of not being able to return home to Tibet is that India is a free country where he can express himself openly.

Although he has often tried to engage Beijing in dialogue, to safeguard the autonomy of Tibetan religion and culture threatened by a “cultural genocide”, the Chinese Communist Party has always branded him a “dangerous” separatist seeking Tibetan independence.

In order to return to Tibet, he gave up his political role in 2011 to remain only as the spiritual leader of Tibetan Buddhism. But the Chinese Communist Party continues to view him as a “wolf in sheep’s clothing”.

At the age of 84, he enjoys good health, although he needs an assistant to walk. In April, Tibetan Buddhists all over the world were concerned for several days after his sudden hospitalization in a Delhi hospital for a lung infection.

In addition to going home to Tibet, the Dalai discussed various topics in the BBC interview: Brexit, migrants, a female Dalai Lama woman who should be “more attractive” than a man.

He also voiced strong criticism of US President Donald Trump who, in his view, lacks “moral principle”. The slogan (America First) that allowed him to win “is wrong”. The US leader, he noted, like Xi Jinping, never asked to meet him.

Whole Dude is a phrase that refers to Whole Man in all aspects of one’s being, including physical, mental, social, moral, rational, creative and spiritual. Man exists because of functional unity of the entire system and may not be divided into its parts like body, mind, and soul which have no independent existence of their own.

I am the Living Host of the Spirits of Tibetan Soldiers who sacrificed their precious lives taking part in the Liberation War of Bangladesh with military action in the Chittagong Hill Tracts during 1971-72. Special Frontier Force-Establishment 22-Vikas Regiment – Operation Eagle: This badge represents a military alliance/pact between India, Tibet, and the United States of America. Its first combat mission was in the Chittagong Hill Tracts which unfolded on 03 November 1971. It was named Operation Eagle. It accomplished its mission of securing peace in the region that is now knownas Republic of Bangladesh.

This medal was awarded for service during the 1971/72 War with Pakistan. This medal was given to all categories of personnel who served in the military, paramilitary forces, police, and civilians in service in the operational areas of Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Gujarat, Rajasthan, West Bengal, Assam, Meghalaya, Mizoram or Tripura between 3 December 1971 and 20 December 1972.

Apart from awarding this DGAFMS MEDAL in the Medical Officers Junior Command Course-67 held in 1976, The Commandant, the Professor of Medicine, the Professor of Pathology, and the Professor of Social & Preventive Medicine at Armed Forces Medical College, Pune gave a written recommendation that I should be allowed to undergo Training in Paediatrics. Based upon this Strong written Recommendation, I had reapplied for Advanced Training in Paediatrics during 1977 and my application was rejected by Lieutenant General BDP Rao.

I served in the Royal Oman Army, Armed Forces Medical Services providing Medical Services to the Land Forces, Air Force, and Navy of Sultanate of Oman from January 14, 1984 to July 26, 1986. I served in several different locations to participate in several Security and Intelligence Operations in the Persian Gulf and particularly at Strait of Hormuz. The decision to embark upon a Journey to United States was made at Khasab, Headquarters Peninsular Sector Force (Hq PENSEC). The airfield at Khasab was built by American engineers and I have reasons to believe that Khasab was used as a launching pad for the failed Helicopter Rescue Operation to save the American Hostages trapped inside Iran. At Khasab, we provide logistical support to all United States Naval vessels passing through the Strait of Hormuz. The Khasab Air base also played a crucial role during the Gulf Wars. I had also supported other American military operations at Thumrait, Masirah and Seeb Air Base during my tenure of service in Oman.

On behalf of Special Frontier Force, I admit that India and the United States are not marching towards the goal of winning Peace through Freedom, a journey that these two nations started during 1950s. US President Obama, and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi have failed to mention the Great Problem of Tibet which gave the stimulus for formulating friendly relations between the US and India. Even if the word Tibet is not mentioned during President Obama’s visit to India, I most positively assert that Tibet remains the central focus of India’s relationship with the United States.

Special Frontier Force at The White House: On April 16, 1991, the 14th Dalai Lama met with US President George H.W. Bush during his first visit to The White House. President George H.W. Bush served at the Director of the US CIA.

Four U.S. presidents—George H.W. Bush, Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, and Barack Obama—have met with His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, with the first official meeting occurring in 1991 during the elder Bush’s presidency.

Subsequent meetings have taken place at the White House, including two with Obama in 2010 and 2011.

Veteran’s Day is a tribute to military veterans who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces. Originating in 1919 when President Woodrow Wilson marked a year since the end of the First World War, the day coincides with other days of remembrance around the world including Armistice Day in the United Kingdom and Remembrance Day across the Commonwealth of Nations. Not to be confused with Memorial Day, which honors those who died while in service, Veterans Day honors all military veterans, including the living.

On Tuesday, November 11, 2025, I honor the Veterans of Special Frontier Force while Tibet, India, and the United States remain silent about the contributions of the living and the dead veterans of Special Frontier Force in support of Freedom.

The military Veterans of Special Frontier Force (particularly Establishment 22 prior to conversion to Vikas Regiment)serve the United States for they used the military weapons and military supplies provided by the United States. A soldier is always identified by the military weapon that he uses in his fight against the enemy.

Veterans Day In The United States And Europe

Many Americans mistakenly believe that Veterans Day is the day America sets aside to honor American military personnel who died in battle or as a result of wounds sustained from combat. That’s not true. Memorial Day is the day set aside to honor America’s war dead.

Veterans Day, on the other hand, honors ALL American veterans, both living and dead. In fact, Veterans Day is largely intended to thank LIVING veterans for dedicated and loyal service to their country. November 11 of each year is the day that we ensure veterans know that we deeply appreciate the sacrifices they have made in the lives to keep our country free.

Armistice Day

To commemorate the ending of the “Great War” (World War I), an “unknown soldier” was buried in the highest place of honor in both England and France (in England, Westminster Abbey; in France, the Arc de Triomphe). These ceremonies took place on November 11th, celebrating the ending of World War I hostilities at 11 a.m., November 11, 1918 (the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month). This day became known internationally as “Armistice Day”.

In 1921, the United States of America followed France and England by laying to rest the remains of a World War I American soldier — his name “known but to God” — on a Virginia hillside overlooking the city of Washington DC and the Potomac River. This site became known as the “Tomb of the Unknown Soldier,” and today is called the “Tomb of the Unknowns.” Located in Arlington National Cemetery, the tomb symbolizes dignity and reverence for the American veteran.

In America, November 11th officially became known as Armistice Day through an act of Congress in 1926. It wasn’t until 12 years later through a similar act that Armistice Day became a national holiday.

The entire World thought that World War I was the “War to end all wars.” Had this been true, the holiday might still be called Armistice Day today. That dream was shattered in 1939 when World War II broke out in Europe. More than 400,000 American service members died during that horrific war.

Veterans Day Creation

In 1954, President Eisenhower signed a bill proclaiming November 11 as Veterans Day and called upon Americans everywhere to rededicate themselves to the cause of peace. He issued a Presidential Order directing the head of the Veterans Administration (now called the Department of Veterans Affairs) to form a Veterans Day National Committee to organize and oversee the national observance of Veterans Day.

Veterans Day National Ceremony

At exactly 11 a.m., each November 11th, a color guard, made up of members from each of the military branches, renders honors to America’s war dead during a heart-moving ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknowns in Arlington National Cemetery.

The President or his representative places a wreath at the Tomb and a bugler sounds Taps. The balance of the ceremony, including a “Parade of Flags” numerous veterans service organizations, takes place inside the Memorial Amphitheater, adjacent to the Tomb.

In addition to planning and coordinating the National Veterans Day Ceremony, the Veterans Day National Committee supports a number of Veterans Day Regional Sites. These sites conduct Veterans Day celebrations that provide excellent examples for other communities to follow.

Veterans Day Observance

Veterans Day is always observed on November 11, regardless of the day of week on which it falls. The Veterans Day National Ceremony is always held on Veterans Day itself, even if the holiday falls on a Saturday or Sunday. However, like all other federal holidays, when it falls on a non-workday — Saturday or Sunday — the federal government employees take the day off on Monday (if the holiday falls on Sunday) or Friday (if the holiday falls on Saturday).

This federal law does not apply to state and local governments. They are free to determine local government closings (including school closings) locally. As such, there is no legal requirement that schools close on Veterans Day, and many do not. However, most schools hold Veterans Day activities on Veterans Day and throughout the week of the holiday to honor American veterans.

Allied Veterans Day Around the World

Many other countries honor their veterans on November 11th of each year. However, the name of the holiday and the types of ceremonies differ from the Veterans Day activities in the United States.

Canada, Australia, and Great Britain refer to their holidays as “Remembrance” Canada and Australia observe the day on November 11, and Great Britain conducts their ceremonies on the Sunday nearest to November 11th.

In Canada, the observance of “Remembrance Day” is actually quite similar to the United States in that the day is set aside to honor all of Canada’s veterans, both living and dead. One notable difference is that many Canadians wear a red poppy flower on November 11 to honor their war dead, while the “red poppy” tradition is observed in the United States on Memorial Day.

In Australia, “Remembrance Day” is very much like America’s Memorial Day, in that it’s considered a day to honor Australian veterans who died in the war.

In Great Britain, the day is commemorated by church services and parades of ex-service members in Whitehall, a wide ceremonial avenue leading from London’s Parliament Square to Trafalgar Square. Wreaths of poppies are left at the Cenotaph, a war memorial in Whitehall, which was built after the First World War. At the Cenotaph and elsewhere in the country, a two-minute silence is observed at 11 a.m., to honor those who lost their lives in wars.
