Whole Dude-Whole Designer – Baeyer: Adolf Von Baeyer discovered the chemical structure of Indigo dye in 1883, and could successfully synthesize the plant pigment in 1890. He won the 1905 Nobel Prize in Chemistry in recognition of his service in the advancement of Organic Chemistry and the Chemical Industry through his work on Organic Dyes.
Whole Dude-Whole Designer – Baeyer: Indigo is the name of blue-colored plant dye derived from a plant that is a native of India. The Indigo plants belong to the genus Indigofera, the species include, I. sumatrana, I. arrecta, and I. tinctoria. The credit for discovering the chemical structure of Indigo goes to German Chemist, Adolf Von Baeyer.
The biological coloration generated by the pigments of biological tissues that reflect or transmit light are known as biochromes. The organic compounds, biochromes, are classified according to the presence or absence of Nitrogen. Pigments produce color by selective absorption of light. The molecules of pigment absorb a limited range of wavelengths; the light that is not absorbed is reflected and its dominant wavelength determines the pigment’s color. However, it must be noted that biochromes are involved in the performance of various, pivotal, metabolic functions apart from imparting color. The natural coloration of living things is more complex than the visual sensory experience of the color associated with living things.
Whole Dude – Whole Designer – Baeyer: Fischer’s Turaco fischeri is unique. It produces its own special green pigment called turacoverdin.
Pigments are substances that impart color to other materials. Most paint pigments are metallic compounds. Some metallic pigments occur naturally. Plants and animals contain pigments. Most opaque substances owe their color to a combination of scattering and absorption within the body of the material.
Whole Dude – Whole Designer – Baeyer: Red-crested Turaco, Tauraco erythrolophus. The red color results from turacin pigment derived from Porphyrin.
The production of color depends upon the wavelength of incident light, the diameter of the pigment particle, and the relationship between the refractive index of the pigment and that of the vehicle in which the pigment particles are suspended. The color of a chemical compound depends on the selective absorption of light by molecules whose size or vibrational wavelengths or both lie between 3000 and 7000 angstrom. Selective absorption of visible light results from retardation in the relative speed or vibrational frequency of the many rapidly vibrating electron pairs found in the chemical compound. The chemical molecule is imparted a special motion or chemical resonance. If this molecular resonance involves short, rapid waves, the shorter, visible light waves (Violet and Blue) are absorbed, and the chemical compound appears Yellow or Orange. The Red-appearing pigments have slightly longer resonance values, absorb light from the Blue and Green regions of the light spectrum. Blue, and Green compounds result from cancellation of light in the Red, or Orange realms.
Whole Dude – Whole Designer – Baeyer: Black pigments absorb all light equally and completely
Black substances absorb all light equally and completely; White compounds absorb no light in the visible spectrum. The color reflected by a pigment usually includes all the wavelengths of visible light except the absorbed fraction; the observed color of a compound thus depends upon the dominant wavelength reflected or transmitted. In most cases, the color observed by the viewer depends upon the optical absorption characteristics of the pigment, and the scattering effect caused by the medium in which the pigment molecules are suspended.

Whole Dude-Whole Designer- Maxwell: James Clerk Maxwell (1831-1879), Scottish Physicist, first Professor of Experimental Physics, Cavendish Laboratory, Cambridge who researched Electricity and Magnetism and contributed to a greater understanding of Color.
James Clerk Maxwell developed a comprehensive theory of electricity and magnetism. His theory, ‘A Treatise on Electricity and Magnetism’ (1873) concludes that electric and magnetic energy travel in transverse waves that propagate at a speed equal to that of light; light is thus only one type of electromagnetic radiation. Defining fields as a tension in the medium, he states that energies reside in fields as well as bodies. This pointed the way to the application of electromagnetic radiation for such present day uses as radio, television, radar, microwaves, and thermal imaging. Modern technology rests firmly on the foundations established by Maxwell.
Electromagnetic Radiation Spectrum:
Whole Dude – Whole Designer – Maxwell: It is important to understand Light as a form of Electromagnetic Radiation. Life exists on planet Earth by exploiting Light radiation, and living things which have visual perception, experience light and color because of the creative use of energy to design the artistic scheme of this physical universe in which man exists.
Electromagnetic Radiation refers to energy radiated in the form of a wave comprised of an electric field interacting with a magnetic field. Electromagnetic Radiation is the result of the acceleration of a charged particle. It does not require a material medium, and can travel through a vacuum. Maxwell’s theory received support after Heinrich Hertz proved the existence of radiowaves in 1887. The individual quantum of Electromagnetic Radiation is known as the photon. Light energy is transferred in discrete packets, or photons. The energy of each photon is equal to the frequency of the light multiplied by Planck’s Constant ‘h’. Green plants with Chlorophyll pigment trap light energy, and transform into chemical energy and use it in the process described as Photosynthesis. It is a creative mechanism to transform one form of energy into a different form of stored chemical energy that can be further used to create new forms of matter called organic molecules that are not present in nature. These organic molecules come into existence because of the activity of living things. It shows the intent of a designer to use energy, and matter to create the visual, sensory effect.
It is important to understand Light as a form of Electromagnetic Radiation. Life exists on planet Earth by exploiting Light radiation, and living things which have visual perception, experience light and color because of the creative use of energy to design the artistic scheme of this physical universe in which man exists.
The Perception of Color:
Whole Dude – Whole Designer – Maxwell: James Clerk Maxwell studied Color Vision, he established Red, Green, and Blue as the primary colors. All other colors can be produced by an additive or subtractive process.Whole Dude – WholeDesigner – Maxwell: Red, Green, and Blue are the true primary colors. All other colors can be produced using additive or subtractive mixing.Whole Dude – Whole Designer – Maxwell: James Clerk Maxwell produced this first color photo image of a Scottish tartan ribbon.
Maxwell’s many interests included color. He analyzed the phenomenon of Color Perception which led him to invent the trichromatic process. He introduced colorometry, the analysis of color.
The role of light and the creation of color for the benefit of things that have the ability, or capacity of visual perception speaks of a carefully planned work of a Whole Designer.
Whole Dude – Whole Designer – Maxwell: Maxwell analyzed the phenomenon of Color Perception.
Whole Dude-Whole Designer – Munsell: Albert Henry Munsell (1858-1918), an artist of distinction, a gifted teacher of art, made the description of color accurate and convenient for teaching of color. He made the foundation for all other Color Order Systems.
Albert Henry Munsell is the reputed author of A Color Notation (1905), and the Atlas of Munsell Color System (1915). The Color System he created is used internationally for specifying opaque colors of dyed or pigmented surfaces.
The Munsell Color Tree:
Whole Dude-Whole Designer – Munsell: The Munsell Color Tree refers to the three-dimensional representation of the Munsell Color System which is a method of designating colors based on a color arrangement scheme that defines colors by measured scales of hue, value, and chroma.
The Munsell Color Tree refers to the three-dimensional representation of the Munsell Color System. It is a method of designating colors based on a color arrangement scheme developed by the american art instructor and painter Albert H Munsell. It defines colors by measured scales of hue, value, and chroma, which correspond respectively to dominant wavelength, brightness, and strength or purity. The Color System developed by Munsell has become the foundation for all other Color Order Systems.
The Scheme for the Color Order System:
Whole Dude-Whole Designer – Munsell: The Scheme for the Color Order System used by any living creature has to be initially incorporated in its genetic material and it is carried as its hereditary information.Whole Dude-Whole Designer – Munsell: The biological production of color is more complex than the use of a Color Order System described by Albert Henry Munsell. In green plants, the color is associated with an important function, the ability to trap radiant energy. The design involves the use of parts, form, various details apart from a color scheme. I name this as the work of a Whole Designer. The green pigment called Chlorophyll is found inside structures called Chloroplasts.
In biology, the generation of color is more complex than the use of a Color Order System described by Albert Henry Munsell. Firstly, the information for the Color Order System must be transplanted in the genetic material such as the DNA of the living creature to make the information as its hereditary characteristic. Secondly, when we look at the green plants, the green pigment called Chlorophyll is found inside structures called Chloroplasts. It involves the designing and arrangement of parts, details of structural units, and structural forms of a creative scheme apart from the use of the scheme for the color.
The fact of designing can be known by studying the purpose and the functions of the artistic unit that is created.
Whole Dude – Whole Designer – Munsell: How do plants know what they know? Plants know about Light, the length of day, and the duration of darkness called night. The fact of designing can be known by studying the purpose and the functions of the artistic unit created.
Whole Dude-Whole Designer – Ives: Herbert Eugene Ives, President of the Optical Society of America (1924-25) made a systematic study of the spectral absorption characteristics of all readily available pigments. He became an expert in Color Photography, Color Fascimile, and Color Television Systems.
The comprehensive understanding of biological coloration demands a study of Physics, Chemistry, Physiology, Biology, Psychology and other subjects. It is equally important to pay tribute to people who have contributed to a better understanding of the principles involved in color production. I am happy to introduce Herbert Eugene Ives (1882-1953), son of Frederic Eugene Ives (1856-1937) to my readers.
Whole Dude-Whole Designer: The creation of an artistic unit which is recognized by its Color demands designing ability where the Designer knows the object of perception and the mind that has the ability called perception. The problem of Color Blindness illustrates the importance of the physiology of perception.Whole Dude-Whole Designer: From a human perspective, the sensory organ called Eye is very important for Color Perception, but perception also involves a psychological function as humans attach feelings, moods, and thoughts to the colors that they perceive. The object of perception, like the colors of flowers do not know the mind of its perceiver. This image describes the role of Tapetum Lucidum to improve light perception.
Herbert Eugene Ives is recognized for his study of the spectral absorption characteristics of all readily available pigments and he concluded that an artist’s palette containing only three properly chosen colors is entirely adequate under most circumstances for color production. He introduced modern Tri-Stimulus Colorimetry, the three-components theory of chromatic adaptation. Through his devotion to the science of Optics and the art of Photography, he proved that three colors are adequate to handle the vast majority of colors needed for naturalistic painting. In nature, the beauty of colorful objects is in the imagination of the viewer. I would like to share some photo images of Glory-bower which belongs to Family Verbenaceae, Order Lamiales, tropical plants and shrubs that are grown for their attractive flowers, and foliage.
Whole Dude-Whole Designer – Ives: Clerodendrum thomsonae. Bleeding heart glory-bower from Africa. Blooms resemble bleeding heart and the leaves are heart-shaped, glossy, dark-green. The plant exists blissfully without any awareness of an anatomical organ called heart.Whole Dude-Whole Designer – Ives: Flaming, or Scarlet Glory-bower, Clerodendrum spendens. Red-Orange flowers among heart-shaped leaves.Whole Dude-Whole Designer – Ives: Glory-bower from Asia. Clerodendrum speciosissimum. Flame-Orange flowers above heart-shaped bronze leaves.Whole Dude-Whole Designer: Tri-Stimulus Color Theory. We need to understand as to how the sensory stimulus generates a sense of psychological satisfaction in the mind of the perceiver.
The Tri-Stimulus Color Theory is important as it has several useful, practical applications and man reproduces natural colors. At a fundamental level, color provides the sensory stimulus and man perceives color as the evidence of a work done by a Designer who is intentionally providing a sense of psychological satisfaction in the mind of the perceiver.
Whole Dude – Whole Designer – Ives: The color provides a sensory stimulus which is also true of Black which can be derived by subtraction of Red, Green, and Blue, the three Primary Colors.
Whole Dude – Whole Designer – Whole Perspectivism: Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche (1844 to 1900), German philosopher who shaped the history of 20th-century philosophy, theology, and psychology. He is considered to be the most influential philosophers who ever lived.
Nietzsche is considered to be the most influential philosophers who ever lived. He is considered to be German language’s most brilliant prose writer. In the words of Sigmund Freud, “Nietzsche had a more penetrating understanding of himself than any man who ever lived or was ever likely to live.” Apart from his critiques of traditional religion, philosophy, and morality, Nietzsche shared a concept called ‘Perspectivism’.
Whole Dude – Whole Designer – Whole Perspectivism
The word ‘perspective’ is stated as the relationship or proportion of the parts of a ‘Whole’, regarded from a particular standpoint or point in time. It describes a specific point of view in understanding or judging things or events, especially one that shows them in their true relationship to one another. Perspective requires the ability to see things in a true relationship. John Godfrey Saxe (1816-1887) provides a perspective in his famous poem “Indian Legend.”
Whole Dude – Whole Designer – Whole Perspectivism: John Godfrey Saxe in his famous poem ‘Indian Legend’ provides a perspective on human limitations to acquire knowledge by direct observation. It would be like that of Six Blind Men examining the Reality called Elephant using the powers of their direct observation. Each person comes to his own conclusion about the nature of Reality.
John Godfrey Saxe describes the problem of knowing the reality using the human powers of observation and compares it to the conclusions arrived by the Six Blind Men who had examined a huge Elephant:
“It was six men of Indostan
To learning much inclined,
Who went to see the Elephant
(Though all of them were blind).
That each by observation
Might satisfy his mind.”
Whole Dude – Whole Designer – Whole Perspectivism: What is Reality? What is Illusion? What is your Perspective? In my opinion, my view, or perspective is preceded by the fact of my physical existence on the surface of fast spinning planet Earth. My perspective may have to always include the reality of my relationship with planet Earth. I am blissfully unaware of the Speed of Earth’s Motion. My intellectual awareness of Earth’s Motion cannot overcome the Power of Illusion caused by the Fundamental Force known as Gravitation.
Perspectivism is a concept which holds that knowledge is always perspectival, or knowledge demands perception of a range of information, facts, or experience. Nietzsche claims that there are no immaculate perceptions. Nietzsche will not be able to make a similar claim about the impossibility of certain kinds of perception.
Whole Dude – Whole Designer – Whole Perspectivism: Pencil in Water illusion. Can Science influence the nature of Perception? The Perception of bent Pencil is caused by the properties of Light rays. Science can only explain the reason for this Optical illusion. Science has no Power to eliminate the illusion. The only way man can experience the Reality of this Pencil would be that of changing the State of Pencil’s Conditioned Existence. It is easy to remove the Pencil from Water and experience the Reality. But, can Man remove himself from his State of Conditioned Existence and experience Reality?
I suggest that in the “Immaculate Perception” of the Whole Designer, man exists not because of his perception of reality but with the perception of illusion which protects man from knowing the reality. In Nietzsche’s opinion, knowledge from no point of view is as incoherent a notion as seeing from no particular vantage point.
Whole Dude – Whole Designer – Whole Perspectivism: Man speaks about truth and reality without realizing that he exists for he is protected from knowing the truth and the reality of Earth’s Speed and Motions.
Nietzsche’s Perspectivism denies the possibility of an all-inclusive perspective which could contain all others. Particularly, there can be no all-inclusive perspective on reality that could make reality available as it is in itself. Nietzsche further explains his Perspectivism and concludes that the concept of such an all-inclusive perspective is as incoherent as the concept of seeing an object from every possible vantage point simultaneously. Man cannot avoid the issue of the problems of perspective and man has to reconcile with the problem caused by the absence of an all-inclusive perspective about the nature of truth and reality.
Whole Dude – Whole Designer – Whole Perspectivism: As Earth rotates from West to East, the Speed of a point on the Earth’s surface depends on its location. The rotational speed of Earth is faster at the Equator. However, it must be noted that man has no sensory perception of the speed of Earth which is in fact a blessing that safeguards human existence from a dangerous reality.
I approach the problem of human perspective from a different direction. Firstly, man’s ability called perception is always preceded by the fact of man’s existence. There is no existence without the influence called Grand Illusion that blocks aspects of man’s perception of reality. The fundamental basis of human existence on the surface of fast spinning Earth is conditioned by the experience called Grand Illusion which defends existence from the danger of reality and the consequences of experiencing the reality of Earth and the universe in which man exists.
In my opinion, it will be possible to formulate an all-inclusive perspective on illusion even while human beings have a problem to share an all-inclusive perspective on truth and reality.
Whole Dude – Whole Perspectivism: MATTER REPRESENTS GOD AS UNMANIFESTED REALITY FOR GOD’S FORM OR APPEARANCE CANNOT BE DISCERNED BY SIMPLY EXPLORING MATTER. THE LIVING THINGS ACQUIRE A HUGE DIVERSITY IN THEIR FORMS AND APPEARANCE BECAUSE OF A CREATIVE POTENCY THAT TRANSFORMS MATTER INTO LIVING FORMS. GOD CREATES AND AT THE SAME REMAINS ALIENATED FROM HIS CREATION.
I am using the term “Whole Perspectivism” to describe an all-inclusive perspective on Whole Existence that demands both Illusion and Reality. In the final analysis, God remains aloof, distant, disinterested, disengaged, separate, and even alienated from His own artistic work that combines illusion and reality which manifests as Creation.
Yes indeed! Life is complicated for we often get confused and do not know if we eat to live or live to eat. Very often, people display their ignorance by asking the question, What do you do for living?

On Tuesday, the Sixth Day of August 2019, I coined the phrase Whole Dude – Whole Time to answer the question, “What do you do for Your Living?” I live on Whole Food to do the Whole Job during my Whole Life.
In my analysis, I cannot be classified either as White-Collar, or Blue-Collar Worker. I cannot be described as Part-Time, Temporary, Seasonal, or Full-Time Employee of any entity that provides the earnings, or wages in exchange for any mental or physical work performed by my human body.To live as Whole Dude is a Whole Time Job.
Whole Dude, Whole Man, Whole Person , or Whole Self works Whole Time during his Whole Life, from the moment of his conception until his death, by performing the Whole Job described as Cellular Respiration even when he watches TV relaxing on his couch or even when he is snoring, fast asleep in his bed.
Whole Dude – Whole Time: Cellular respiration is a set of metabolic reactions and processes that take place in the cells of organisms to convert biochemical energy from nutrients into adenosine triphosphate (ATP), and then release waste products.
The Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) does not define full-time employment or part-time employment. This is a matter generally to be determined by the employer. Whether an employee is considered full-time or part-time does not change the application of the FLSA, nor does it affect the application of the Service Contract Act or Davis-Bacon and Related Acts wage and fringe benefit requirements.

What do You do for Your Living?
This blog post is dedicated to Goddess Sarasvati, the Goddess of Pure Knowledge and Perfect Wisdom. The question, “What do you do for your Living” must be answered by attaching meaning to terms such as ‘Life’, and ‘Living’ using the information provided by Science. If the human Subject called “I” is existing, it has to be accounted for by the description of work or job performed to maintain or sustain the fact of its existence.
Whole Dude – Whole Time: Living as the Whole Dude is a Whole Time Whole Job for Whole Life.
Goddess Sarasvati symbolizes the pursuit of Knowledge and Wisdom and helps me to define Life as Knowledge in Action.
Whole Job-Whole Life. What are Living Functions?
Whole Dude-Whole Time. Living as the Whole Dude is a Whole Time Whole Job for Whole Life.
Spirituality Science. What do you do for Living?
THE PROCESS, THE MECHANISM CALLED CELLULAR RESPIRATION IS NOT LEARNED OR ACQUIRED EXPERIENCE. NO SPIRITUAL TEACHER, NO SPIRITUAL MASTER, AND NO SPIRITUAL GUIDE CAN IMPLANT THIS KNOWLEDGE IN MAN.
At a fundamental level, the Living System called man is thermodynamically unstable and it means that the System demands a constant supply of energy from an external source. The process or the mechanism called ‘Cellular Respiration’ is involved in energy acquisition, energy manipulation, energy transformation, and energy expenditure involved in the performance of the numerous Living Functions that establish the fact of the Living Thing existing in its given environment at any given place and time.
Whole Dude-Whole Time. Living as the Whole Dude is a Whole Time Job for Whole Life.
THE LIVING CELL IS THERMODYNAMICALLY UNSTABLE. TO EXIST, THE LIVING CELL NEEDS CONTINUOUS SUPPLY OF MATTER AND ENERGY FROM ITS EXTERNAL ENVIRONMENT. PROTOPLASM OR CYTOPLASM USES THE POWER OF NUTRITION TO ACQUIRE MATTER AND ENERGY FROM ITS EXTERNAL ENVIRONMENT AND ENABLES THE LIVING CELL TO PERFORM A VARIETY OF LIVING FUNCTIONS CALLED METABOLISM.
The Knowledge Theory vs The Living Functions:
Whole Dude-Whole Time. Living as the Whole Dude is a Whole Time Job for Whole Life.
Spirituality Science. What do you do for Living? Many important biological processes involve Redox or Oxidation and Reduction Chemical Reactions. These chemical reactions reveal a dynamic process that is the characteristic of both Life and Death. If Life is explained by a series of chemical reactions, the same process continues into Death.
I ask my readers to carefully examine the role of Knowledge in the performance of human living functions. The man exists in the physical world, not on account of learned experience, or acquired Knowledge which he may use in the performance of actions that relate to his social occupation that provides him with earnings or income with which he caters for his physiological needs like food, water, clothing, and housing.
Man’s physical and mental work is not the ultimate basis of his existence. For example, the man has no direct sensory awareness of the numerous Redox or Oxidation and Reduction Chemical Reactions involved in the dynamic process called Life and Death.
What is Knowledge?
Whole Dude – Whole Time: Life is defined as Knowledge in Action.
Knowledge is defined as the act, fact, or state of knowing a range of information. The act of knowing requires knowledge or information relevant to a particular act. The state of knowledge describes the condition that characterizes an object in which such knowledge or information exists. If knowledge is defined as a fact of knowing some information, it describes a clear perception, or understanding, or awareness, or cognizance of information that pertains to that fact. Knowledge can only exist, can only be found in an object which has the abilities of perception, understanding, awareness, or cognition. In other words, knowledge is an attribute of the act, fact, or state of living. A living object is the seat of knowledge and the presence of knowledge could be verified or detected in any of the actions or activities of that living matter. The act of living requires a state or condition of knowing information relevant to sustaining life’s functions.
Whole Dude-Whole Time. Living as the Whole Dude is a Whole Time Job for Whole Life.
If the human brain or mind is viewed as the Seat of Knowledge, hands, and feet, or the muscles used in vocalization are the sites where Knowledge is transformed into Action. In common usage, the word knowledge is used to describe all that has been perceived or grasped by the human brain or mind. The learning, the body of facts, principles, etc., accumulated by man is stated as his knowledge. The state of knowing becomes evident only when knowledge is transformed into action. The man displays knowledge in the use of his hands and feet in the performance of his actions. Man can communicate his knowledge in his speech, in his writings, and in his use of a variety of tools, instruments, gadgets, and machines. If the human brain or mind is viewed as the seat of knowledge, hands, and feet, or the muscles used in vocalization are the sites where knowledge is transformed into action. Knowledge involves receiving/storing information at one site and using that information in the performance of action at a different site. The ability and the quality of a man’s function reflect upon his state of knowledge relative to that function. Knowledge is verified during its application to perform a function. This concept or understanding of knowledge in action could also be used in the context of describing functions at the cellular level.
Whole Dude-Whole Time. Living as the Whole Dude is a Whole Time Job for Whole Life.
The Da Vinci Telerobotic Surgical System permits the surgeon to perform an operation on a patient from a remote site. The mechanical robotic arm could perform tasks with great precision while it has no knowledge of its own. While information can be found in books, in writings, in speech/ speech recordings, and etc., it should not be described as knowledge. A robotic, mechanical arm could perform tasks with great precision while it has no knowledge of its own. Knowledge, awareness, and ability to use information exist only as an attribute of life or as an act of living.
What is Life? Life is Knowledge in Action:

Anatomy of Plant Cell clearly illustrates that Life exists because of the establishment of Knowledge, the source of Information for a variety of biological functions. Both Bacterial (Prokaryotic), Animal, and Plant (Eukaryotic) Cells share similar characteristics. The Living Cell functions by application of the information contained in its genetic material. Use of information to perform action describes the Knowing and it represents Knowledge in Action. Virus particles composed of Nucleic Acids either RNA or DNA within a case of Protein, in it’s Free State the Virus particle behaves like Inert matter and when it infects living cells of plants, animals, or bacteria the Virus starts replicating using the Chemical Energy and Nucleic Acid synthesizing abilities of the host Cell. The Application of Knowledge in Viral Replication is very interesting. The Structure of the Influenza Virus reveals its Functional Organization. Each function involves the application of Knowledge. This Knowledge is derived from its hereditary information. The Virus exists because of genetic material which provides it the information to perform its function that is characteristic of its existence.
What is Life? Life is Knowledge in Action. A living cell performs a variety of functions that are characteristic of its life. The Cell Structure known as Nucleus is the Seat of Knowledge. In structures known as Chromosomes it stores hereditary, and biological information for its growth, development, replication, reproduction, and metabolic functions such as protein synthesis for its growth and maintenance. Protein Synthesis takes place in structures known as Ribosomes that are located in Cytoplasm outside the Nucleus. Nucleus transfers information to Ribosomes by using Transfer RNA. Nucleus provides only information and to use that information for its function of Protein Synthesis, the Ribosome derives Energy from another Cell Structure known as Mitochondrion. This process of Cellular Function describes Knowledge in Action.Life is described as a state of an organism characterized by certain processes or abilities that include metabolism, nutrition, growth, motion, replication, reproduction, responsiveness to stimuli, and awareness of its own condition of existence or living in an environment.
Whole Dude – Whole Time: In mitochondria, many substances (food) are oxidized and ATP, the energy-storing chemical of the Cell is produced. The most important equations for living things are mutually inverse. Respiration of humans, and Cellular Respiration represents the reverse of Photosynthesis.
The act of living could be stated by describing the functions that characterize life. Functions depend upon the use of information; the information that is stored at a particular site or location is transferred to a different site or location where it is transformed into action which constitutes the nature of functioning. Life is always associated with its living functions and these functions depend upon the use of energy. If the Nucleus is viewed as the Seat of Knowledge of a Living Cell, it communicates its Knowledge to another Cell Structure known as Ribosome which is the Site of Action for the Knowledge transferred from the Nucleus. The Ribosome performs its action of Protein Synthesis drawing Energy provided by another Cell Structure known as Mitochondrion.
So also the human brain provides information and sends signals to muscles to perform actions. Muscle cells perform actions drawing Energy from Mitochondria of their Cells. This process called Living depends upon the use of Energy. If Life is a manifestation of an Energy or Life Force, Life could be defined as Knowing the Connection between ‘energy-Seeker’ (or energy-demanding molecules) and an ‘Energy-Provider’ or Source of Energy (or energy-yielding molecules).
Life and its functions are evidence of its State of Knowledge. Hence, Life could be defined as “Knowledge in Action.” Life comes into existence or into a state called Living, and Life begins with the establishment of Knowledge in an object or matter that gains the identity of a Living Organism.

Whole Dude – Whole Contentment: Akshaya Patra. Discover Bliss From an Empty Pot.
The Story of Akshaya Paatra:
Whole Dude – Whole Contentment: Akshaya Paatra – Discover Bliss from an empty pot. There are several interesting legends associated with Akshaya Tritiya.
The word ‘Akshaya Paatra’ in the Sanskrit language means an inexhaustible vessel. This pot could supply delicious meals in an endless manner. This story is found in the Indian Epic poem of Mahabharata. Akshaya Paatra was a divine gift given to Dharmaraj by the Sun god, Surya. The pot was given to help the princely family of Pandavas to tide over their difficulties while they spent twelve years in the forest. They had to spend time in exile after losing their kingdom in a game of dice. Akshaya Paatra would provide meals so that the Pandava family could keep up with the Indian traditions of hospitality. Also keeping in line with the tradition, each day Akshaya Paatra would serve the final and last meal to the hostess. The hostess, Draupadi was very mindful of her traditional role and each day she would feed all the guests, all the dependents, all the family members and would then take the last meal.
The Discovery of Bliss from an Empty Pot:
Whole Dude – Whole Contentment: Akshaya Paatra – Discover Bliss from an empty pot.
As per the story from Mahabharata, one evening, Draupadi found herself in a troubled situation. A Hindu sage by the name of Durvasa with a large entourage of his disciples arrived at the forest abode of Pandavas after Draupadi had taken the last meal from Akshaya Paatra. She prayed to Lord Krishna seeking help to feed her guests. Lord Krishna appeared before her and asked her to feed Him from Akshaya Paatra. Draupadi regretfully answered that the pot was empty. He directed her to take a closer look. Draupadi carefully reexamined the pot and discovered a single grain of rice that was stuck in the pot. As instructed, she fed the last grain from the pot to Lord Krishna and now the pot became truly empty. Lord Krishna derived His satisfaction when the last grain from the pot was removed and simultaneously, the entire party of guests experienced full satiation and Draupadi escaped from the burden of actually feeding them that evening.
I am speaking of this story about Akshaya Paatra to understand the concept about emptying the mind to discover pure consciousness. In Indian literature and idiom, the mind is often compared to a vessel or a pot. When all thoughts ( or desires) are taken out of the mind, what would remain in the mind is like that single grain of rice that Draupadi had discovered in the otherwise empty Akshaya Paatra. This last grain would represent the pure consciousness which discovers its unity with the Divine consciousness to provide pure Bliss and Joy. Lord Krishna could have easily provided a hearty meal to the entire party of guests. He did not choose to provide happiness through gratification of the physical needs of the body. Akshaya Paatra if seen as the representation of the mind, the mind was truly emptied when the last grain was removed from it and Lord Krishna demonstrated that there is no need to fill-up the pot to feed our desires. He delivered Joy, Bliss, and a total sense of perfect satisfaction while the pot remained empty. Just like the empty Akshaya Paatra that provided Bliss, when the last grain of desire is removed from the mind and given in offering to the Lord, the Lord would provide all that you may need without physical gratification of the senses.
Man at any given age, under all given circumstances, in good health, or ill-health exists in this physical world because of ‘God-Connection’, the Connection between man, the energy seeker, and God, the energy provider. When the God-Connection is recognized, man experiences a sense of satisfaction, mental satiation, and contentment and he would have no further desires to be gratified.

Annapurna (Annapoorna, Annapurneshwari, or Annada) is the Goddess of Food and Nourishment. Hence, Annapurna is a form of Shakti, Power, Force, and Energy and is described as a special manifestation of Goddess Parvati, the consort of Lord Shiva, the Lord who sustains the creation and may eventually cause its dissolution.
The word Anna is translated as Food and Grains and the word Purna means Whole, Full, or Complete. The Sanskrit words, Anna + Purna or Food + Whole gets transformed into the phrase Whole Foods in English. Fullness comes from Fullness and Fullness remains forever Full. Just like the concept of Sunya or Zero in Mathematics, the concept of Purna or Whole belongs to Bharat, the Land of India.

With the fragrant kasturi-mark on the forehead, the precious Kaustubha gem on the chest, the lovely pearl-jewel at the nose tip, the flute in the palm and the kankan (bangle) encircling the hand, the scented sandalwood paste all over the body, the pearl-necklace around the beautiful neck, surrounded by milk-maids – may victory be yours, O crown gem of Gopalas.

Several years ago,my father sent me a prayer book, Prarthana Tarangini. The book originally belonged to my mother and she signed her name on the first page and dated the copy on 1-2-89 (January 02, 1989). Apparently, she liked some prayers more than others and she check marked her favorite selections in the prayer book.I liked her choice of “Bruhi Mukundeti.”

The name Sri Krishna is received by the ears of the listener with a sense of sweetness which is described as sweet as the heavenly nectar called Amrut.
Whole Dude – Whole Hymn – Whole Concept: Nine Ways to Worship Lord God Creator
Prahlada, a great devotee of Lord Vishnu described nine ways to worship Vishnu. The acts of Smaranam (Remembering the Lord by recalling His glorious names from memory), Kirtanam (Singing the holy names of the Lord), and Sravanam (Listening or hearing the names of the Lord) could be combined into a single act of worship by simply repeating the various sweet names with which Lord Krishna is known. The best thing about this prayer is that one need not ask for any grant of wishes and need not express the desires of your heart. Kuchela who had traveled to Dwaraka to meet with Krishna and seek His favors, had actually forgotten to mention the purpose of his visit and was feeling sorry on his way back home for he thought that he had missed a great opportunity to speak his mind to Krishna. Kuchela, when he eventually got back home, he was in for a big surprise. Krishna knew his problems and granted his wishes and much more even without hearing a word about it. The sweetness of the name makes it easier to carry on the burdens of life and comforts you during your journey. The sweet name cheers up your heart, brightens your mood, sooths your aching joints, and gives hope when there is nothing else you can do. Let that sweet name fulfill your unexpressed, unstated and unspoken desires of your heart.

I take refuge in Hanuman who was born from the womb of mother Anjani, and who was the most excellent minister of the king of monkeys (i.e. Sugriva), who is extremely dear to Sri Rama; I bow to you, O Hanuman, please protect me always.

September 22. This Day in History. What Happened on this Day?
The Rudolf-Rudi Connection explores the doctrine of predestination on September 22 . The Emancipation Proclamation of President Abraham Lincoln has failed to abolish the practice of Slavery, Involuntary Servitude, and Forced Labor. These practices got resurrected and are introduced into the Union territory by the secular laws enacted by the US Congress which violate the Principle of Equal Protection under Law.
On this day in 1862, President Abraham Lincoln issues a preliminary Emancipation Proclamation, which sets a date for the freedom of more than 3 million black slaves in the United States and recasts the Civil War as a fight against slavery.
When the Civil War broke out in 1861, shortly after Lincoln’s inauguration as America’s 16th president, he maintained that the war was about restoring the Union and not about slavery. He avoided issuing an anti-slavery proclamation immediately, despite the urgings of abolitionists and radical Republicans, as well as his personal belief that slavery was morally repugnant. Instead, Lincoln chose to move cautiously until he could gain wide support from the public for such a measure.
WholeDude-WholeSlave: Emancipation Proclamation by President Abraham Lincoln during September 1862. United States has officially abolished the practice of slavery and has now institutionalized the practice of Servitude and the Union has transformed from a ‘Free State’ into a ‘Slave State.’
In July 1862, Lincoln informed his cabinet that he would issue an emancipation proclamation but that it would exempt the so-called border states, which had slaveholders but remained loyal to the Union. His cabinet persuaded him not to make the announcement until after a Union victory. Lincoln’s opportunity came following the Union win at the Battle of Antietam in September 1862. On September 22, the president announced that slaves in areas still in rebellion within 100 days would be free.
On January 1, 1863, Lincoln issued the final Emancipation Proclamation, which declared “that all persons held as slaves” within the rebel states “are, and henceforward shall be free.” The proclamation also called for the recruitment and establishment of black military units among the Union forces. An estimated 180,000 African-Americans went on to serve in the army, while another 18,000 served in the navy.
After the Emancipation Proclamation, backing the Confederacy was seen as favoring slavery. It became impossible for anti-slavery nations such as Great Britain and France, who had been friendly to the Confederacy, to get involved on behalf of the South. The proclamation also unified and strengthened Lincoln’s party, the Republicans, helping them stay in power for the next two decades.
The proclamation was a presidential order and not a law passed by Congress, so Lincoln then pushed for an antislavery amendment to the U.S. Constitution to ensure its permanence. With the passage of the 13th Amendment in 1865, slavery was eliminated throughout America (although blacks would face another century of struggle before they truly began to gain equal rights).
Lincoln’s handwritten draft of the final Emancipation Proclamation was destroyed in the Chicago Fire of 1871. Today, the original official version of the document is housed in the National Archives in Washington, D.C.

Whole Dude – Whole Blessings for Whole Vairagya.
Annapurna Devi symbolizes the abundant nourishment she gives to all. She is the Mother Principle and Lord Shiva symbolizes the Originating Principle or the Father Principle. She is the Mother Goddess of all Life. In the Indian Tradition the ritualistic worship of Food and the devotional offering of Food are highly praised. Food is considered sacred and prayers are offered before consuming Food.
Whole Dude – Whole Blessings for Whole Vairagya: In the Indian Tradition, Moksha or Liberation is viewed as the Ultimate Goal of Life. To attain this goal, the man invokes the Blessings of Goddess Annapurna every time before he consumes Food to sustain his mortal existence.
In the Indian Tradition, Food is considered only as a means towards Moksha or Liberation, the Ultimate Goal of human birth. The process to attain Moksha demands acquisition of Jnana or Knowledge using the path of Vairagya or Detachment. For Jnana (the awakening of spiritual knowledge about true or real Self) and Vairagya (dispassion, detachment, freedom from all other worldly desires), the seeker begs it as the alms of Grace, Mercy, and Compassion granted by Mother Annapurna.
Akshata or Akshinta, the Whole Blessings granted by Mother Annapurna:
Whole Dude – Whole Blessings for Whole Vairagya: Akshata or Akshinta are specially prepared Uncooked, and Unbroken Grains of Rice that deliver the Whole Blessings of Mother Annapurna.
Akshata is a Sanskrit word which means Whole. Akshata or Akshinta refers to the Unbroken and Uncooked Rice Grains offered to the deity during worship and other religious ceremonies to invoke the Whole Blessings of Mother Annapurna, the Sustainer of Life. Akshata are often sprinkled over the heads of the seekers of Whole Blessings of Life with prosperity, fertility, and bounty. Akshata are used in all auspicious occasions such as the performance of marriage ceremonies.
The Whole Concept of Whole Vairagya:
Whole Dude – Whole Blessings for Whole Vairagya
Vairagya is a Sanskrit word that translates to detachment or dispassion. In Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras (1:15), the essence of Vairagya is described as: Dispassion, the conscious mastery of the control of desire for objects seen, perceived, or heard. King-Sage Bhartrihari composed 100 verses popularly known as Vairagya Satakam.

The goal of renunciation and non-attachment to life is not attained by avoiding the consumption of food which sustains the mortal existence. In fact, food is the spiritual medium that provides the connection between the energy dependent man and his energy provider. The chemical energy required for the performance of all living functions involves the act of cellular respiration.
Whole Dude – Whole Blessings for Whole Vairagya: Cellular respiration is a set of metabolic reactions and processes that take place in the cells of organisms to convert biochemical energy from nutrients into adenosine triphosphate (ATP), and then release waste products.
Man is a created being and is constituted as a Spiritual Being. The Spiritual Knowledge required to establish, to maintain, and to sustain the human existence is implanted in the living, corporeal substance of the man and it cannot be acquired or learned from any external source. At a fundamental level the existence of man is not related to the physical and mental work performed by man. It is true that man must satisfy the sensations of hunger and thirst by performing actions to gather and consume food and drink but its transformation into a new form of chemical energy which alone sustains life does not depend upon any external source of Knowledge.
I ask my readers to carefully review the concept of Knowledge acquired through the Learning Experience for the attainment of Vairagya.
Whole Dude – Whole Blessings for Whole vairagya: There are four major qualities/strengths one has to develop, in order to reach the Self, and attain freedom and permanent happiness in this world we live in Today. 1. Discrimination (Viveka) 2. Dispassion(Vairagya ) 3. Desire to be Free and Desire for the Highest. (Mumukshatva) Continued—–Whole Dude – Whole Blessings for Whole Vairagya: 4th Pillar consists of Six Wealths/Strengths or Qualities : Shama (Control over mind) Dama (Control over senses) Titiksha (Endurance and forebearing) Uparati (Rejoicing in your own nature) Shraddha (Faith) Samadhana (Being at ease)Whole Dude – Whole Blessings for Whole Vairagya: What is Viveka? Whatever you consider as stationary or solid is neither stationary nor solid. Discriminating between that which is not changing, and everything else which is ever changing is Viveka . Understanding that everything is changing would reduce 99% of the misery in this world. The Spiritual nature of the living substance does not change under the influence of time.Whole Dude – Whole Blessings for Whole Vairagya: What is Vairagya? Vairagya means Becoming at Ease with What Is. An attitude of So what! Let it be, whatever takes away the feverishness in you and brings you to that pillar of dispassion. Dispassion towards the enjoyments of the five sense or the spiritual enjoyment, towards the seen and the unseen, the outer world or the inner world. Man who views Food as the source of Spiritual Energy will not get attached to Food he consumes. Whole Dude – Whole Blessings for Whole Vairagya: The existence of Man in the terrestrial domain is always conditioned and man is not born free. The desire for deliverance from the dependent, conditioned existence is experienced if and only if man retains the spiritual connection that maintains the vital, living function called Cellular Respiration.Whole Dude – Whole Blessings for Whole Vairagya. The Six virtues come into play if and only if the man keeps his physical, mortal existence performing the function of cellular respiration using spiritual knowledge implanted in the living substance of Life.Whole Dude – Whole Blessings for Whole Vairagya. Self-Control, Self-Restraint, Self-Discipline to restrain the mind depend upon the man’s ability to perform the vital, living function called Cellular Respiration.Whole Dude – Whole Blessings for Whole Vairagya: The Practice or Abhyas will be made possible if man is attached to Food to create the chemical energy required to sustain the vital, living functions such as respiration and circulation.
The concept of Whole Vairagya is based upon the following propositions:
Existence (What You Do – the performance of vital, living function called Cellular Respiration) always precedes Essence (What You Are in terms of your acquired Knowledge, Learned Experience, and through your physical, and mental effort or Practice or Abhyas.
Man is a Created Being and is constituted as a Spiritual Being. The Spiritual Knowledge is innate, and is implanted in the Living Substance which performsSpiritual Functions such as Consciousness, and Nutrition for it is aware of its own energy-dependent existence in its given external environment.
Spiritual Knowledge is not acquired through man’s physical or mental work. However, man can discover his own true or real Spiritual nature with the help of the Learning Experience.
The Lord God Creator is present in His entire creation but He remains detached, aloof, disinterested, and may even seem to be estranged from His own creation. But, man is not free and is always trapped by the shackles of conditioned, dependent, earthly existence.
The earthly, mortal, transient, ephemeral, and physical existence of man at any stage of his existence, in good health or ill health depends upon the Unconditioned Love of God who delivers the Whole Blessings of Mercy, Grace, and Compassion even if man is ignorant and is not aware of God’s existence. And,
The man who realizes that he has no deliverance, no liberation, and that there is no release from his bonding, his attachment, his yoking, his partnership, his association, and his spiritual connection with Lord God Creator attains Whole Vairagya or gets detached from the things that derive their existence from attachment to the World.
