Major General (Retd) Sujan Singh Uban, AVSM, the former Inspector General of Special Frontier Force had published his story titled The Phantoms of Chittagong : The Fifth Army in Bangladesh and had narrated the successful military operation in Chittagong Hill Tracts in the 1971 War of Liberation of Bangladesh. OPERATION EAGLE – WHOLE SERMON
During Indo-Pak War of 1971, Colonel B K Narayan and the Unit he Commanded had liberated Kaptai in Rangamati District of Chittagong Hill Tracts. He conducted the Friday prayer service for Muslim worshipers at Kaptai. The Military Mission had aimed at bringing Peace and Joy to the Bangla Muslim Community. The role of this Gunner officer as an Infantry Commander is historical.
